Kalki: The Master of IT and God of Purchasing: Part II

Jul 28, 2008 16:00

Kalki: Good morning, lowly Emma.
Emma: Good morning, Kalki, Master of IT, and God of Purchasing.
Kalki: I will order you one copy of the software you require.
Emma: But what if Six needs one?
Kalki: If Six requires an equivalent upgrade, I shall attend to her in the fullness of time.
RPCW: (Sounding like a Polish Richardo Montalbon) Time is luxury you don't have.
Emma: What?
RPCW: I mean, when Six needs software, she's likely to need it extremely quickly and at the worst possible time. I would say you should get it now, while you're ordering Emma's anyway.
Kalki: Ah, Kalki, Master of IT and God of Purchasing, regrets to inform you that the software for Emma has already been purchased.
Emma: But you just said...
Kalki: Hush, you.
...
RPA: So I got the information from Kalki, the Master of IT and God of Purchasing, to buy you one copy of your software. He said that I might hear from other people we need two, but I was to ignore them as loudly as possible.
Emma: Okay.
RPA: He said, if you're good, you may have another copy next quarter.
Emma: Is that really what he said?
RPA: Well, to be exact he said, "Kalki the Master of IT and God of Purchasing decrees that it may be in the future that Emma, should her performance and needs accord with the financial plan and direction of this glorious enterprise, may receive an additional copy of said software. Retain all correspondence and information gathered for this current purchasing endeavour against any future such.
Emma: I'm sorry I asked.
RPA: I just say, "It's my pleasure to serve." and leave quickly. Bye!
