Countdown to Adventure
Well I'm pleased to say that Elysia Beta 7 is about a week away give or take a day or two. There are a few very minor things to take care of then Pat and I will be reading it independently to catch any last minute oversights. Hopefully I'll have the first print out by next Friday. Again there may be a delay but we'll see what we have to contend with when we do the proof reading.
My poor writing will still be there as actual editing of the final book will take place after this beta has run it's course.
Also I have to inform that this beta won't be downloadable by our Colorado friends for about 1 to 3 months as We're going to start play tests locally first to catch stupid or obvious mistakes. Plus I'm not sure if I have a place to host it yet anyway.
I will burn CDs for the local people who wish to run / play it for playtesting purposes.
As I stated in a previous post this beta will be in circulation largely unchanged for a year. During that time I'll be running it and hopefully playing it while I again hone my artistic skills for the final book. I've never illustrated a book before and I expect it to be a challenge. If I was rich I would just commission a bunch of famous fantasy artists but we do what we can eh.
If people do want to submit artwork for the book, feel free but I can't promise a return on the investment or that it will even make it into the final copy so I understand if people are hesitant.
