The heating works again but the harddisk is still out cold

*lol* I don't know where the envy comes from but I suppose that I'm spiteful and violent. Or maybe because I've been very envious of people in this hemisphere with working hot water for quite some time?
Well, that was an excellent week. That's sarcasm, btw. We haven't had hot water or heating from Tuesday to today because some sensor in the central heating unit in the basement malfunctioned and they could only replace it a few hours ago. Incidentally, from last Friday to, like, yesterday, I had a weird kind of cold that consisted basically only of a sore throat and an annoying cough, no stuffy nose or anything. Then, suddenly, it was gone. On Tuesday one of my external harddisks fell into a coma - it wakes up at random times, works for a few minutes or even hours at a time before it stops again. The father-unit and I are both sure that it has to do with the power pack but unfortunately we don't have another one that fits and so I had to act quickly whenever it decided to wake up again to shovel what wasn't burnt on DVD already onto one of the other harddisks. Now it's just sitting there, probably meditating and I'm undecided what to do with it. I mean, it was convenient but I don't really need it right now. At least not enough to buy a new power pack when I'm only 80% sure the problem is in the old power pack. And tomorrow was supposed to be my free day of the week and just one hour ago my boss called, announcing that my co-boss called that he would come into the office unplanned tomorrow and that colleague P. as the only secretary couldn't possibly manage everything alone. Le sigh. And for tomorrow the weather forecast says tornado-like storm with rain that might or might not turn into snow. Fuck yeah ><;;; (that was sarcasm, too).
