OK, I just finished watching the figure skating re-runs aaaand...
I'm a fan of Plushenko, I admit this freely. But, really, I have to say that Daisuke Takahashi was at least as good! He doesn't really have Plushenko's grace and presence on the ice yet but he's younger and, well, fresher. I liked him a lot and I don't think Lysacek deserved #2. Also, I don't think Oda should have gotten such high scores. His program was boring. Which brings me to the anti-boring, so to speak: OMG Yun Kouga designed the clothes of Johnny Weir! O_O At
least it
sure looks like it. I loved how the commentators (on the German Eurosport broadcast) hated him and his costume without outright saying that this was the gayest thing that ever gayed. But then, they were very irritated anyway. They hated Lysacek too, and Plushenko of course; they always do (but they were probably right when they said that his clown antics during his program could cost him a medal one day). They loved the Japanese, though. I could fully understand that with Takahashi since he was amazing but Oda, not so. Also, they liked Lambiel and so did I. Which brings me to poor Joubert ;_; What a deep fall. He's even behind Stefan Lindemann who isn't exactly in the medal-range. I feel sorry for him. Really.
Guess who's working on a Winskin again, commemorating the Olympics. No, I have nothing better to do. Yet.
And now, off to find a torrent.
