ZOMG FINALLY FRIDAY!
Yeah, so I dropped off the face of earth again. But it wasn't my fault! Two of our teachers found out that they had completely forgotten that they needed yet another mark and of course that meant WORK. I botched at least one of the tests anyway but can't bring myself to give a f***. Yesterday I had to watch the match (haha, YESSSSS, Spain! ^o^) and this morning I was so tired that I fell asleep on the train, so I missed my station (and the next. I was lucky to wake up two stations later, not three. Or, actually, that I woke up while still in Munich at all. A few years ago I fell asleep on the train and woke up at the airport. Fun -_-;;). But of course I spend the little free time on my computer, though on Photoshop, not online...
On the one hand: YAY, Saimono! On the other hand... something's off. I can't put my finger on it but I'm not really happy with this wallpaper. Something's missing. Maybe a title? I couldn't think of any title that fits but maybe someone comes up with something *shrugs*. I scanned them from a recent (but not the most recent) Beans A and maybe I'll do something with the Reishin + Kijin colour spread that I also scanned.
I adapted the image a bit (Ryuuki and Shuurei were too far apart) and in case you want to know: The writing in the background is a brush of the first page of the first (I think it was the first) Saimono novel. That reminds me - I almost thrashed the wallpaper because when I opened Photoshop yesterday I found that for some reason all my brushes had disappeared, not from the harddisk but from the program! Almost half a decade of collecting and - more important - sorting brushes - gone! Strange enough, all the plugins and gradients were still there. So I had to re-load all the brushes and without the abrViewer I'd probably still be working on it. Great tool, one of the best things I ever downloaded. Still, took me about four hours.
I'd never have thought that the day I would buy manga by Kayono and Mayu Shinjo (IN GERMAN!) on the same day would ever come. Well, and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden #7. Too bad I had no money left to buy Itadakimasu #4, too ^^;; I'll do that next week. (Royal 17 #2 is shrink-wrapped, wtf)
And my Lala #8 came today and the furoku was the cutest Nyanko-sensei cellphone charm! I'm sooo looking forward to the Natsume Yuujinchou anime! I still can't imagine how Inoue Kazuhiko of all people will sound as Nyanko-sensei (unless he's in monster-mode *lol*) but I'll wait and see. But there's not much else to look forward in the summer season anyway (sorry, I know what most of you say but I couldn't even read two scanlated chapters of Antique Bakery without falling asleep and even the Tackey couldn't make me want to check out the drama). And there isn't even a semi-interesting mecha series. So all that remains is looking forward to the second season of Gundam 00. And, of course, watching Code Geass (did anyone else already pre-order the novels? :D) and Macross Frontier. I should make a Macross Frontier skin. The problem is, Sheryl gets all the good images but I like Ranka a lot more. But first I promised a playlist to someone, so that has priority (I'll work on it this weekend! I promise! ... OK, I promise that I try! ^^;;).
