Things I learnt today:
  • Alpine lakes are friggin cold.
  • If you fall/get pushed into one your heart stops beating for about five seconds. At least it feels like it.
  • Also, you suddenly know how Guinan felt in that scene in Peter David's Q² when she found herself outside of Ten Forward, looking in.
  • The Kochelsee is one of the colder lakes in Bavaria ( Read more... )

*lol* I researched the lake's temperature afterwards to make sure I wasn't totally wrong with the assumption that it was really cold XD

As far as I'm concerned... if it isn't tropical, prepare to become indecent (in one way or another).

So I'm getting the impression someone found themselves unexpectedly in a frigid lacustrine environment, eh? ^_~ Brr. Very brr.

Also the song piques my interest?

Yeah... you could say that, I suppose (I should write down that sentence. Sounds so much better than what I thought that moment *g*).

I can upload it if you want? :D

(Ahaha, I bet though that some of what you were thinking was not fit for the ears of small ones, eh?)

That would be awesome :D (I am finally back on The Internets. I finished the book. I am so proud of me.)

OK, I'll probably upload some stuff on the weekend (I got so many weird covers... gotta share them with the world!) ^^.

You mean The Book? Finished it Sunday night and, yeah, it finally canonized my secret OTP. Other than that I'll still have to think about it. All those deux ex machina events sort of annoyed me.

Chocolate covered fruit FTW!! And wow, sounds like you had fun with the lake. ^_^

Indeed! And it must be dark chocolate! Yum ^^

Well... at that moment it wasn't fun. The face of the culprit however, when I proceeded to eat his chocolate covered banana after finishing my strawberries, was. Hehe.

18°C is cold but have you ever tried a mountain waterfall in May? That is what I call COLD *brrrrrrrrrr*.

Tomorrow I have to wake up one hour earlier since DB announced they will strike against S-Bahn too tomorrow T__T. So I have to get sure and if, I have to use the Tram...means a 25 minuntes walk *lazy-at-mornings* and a longer way at work *sigh*.
There are worse things I think.

I think if the outside temperature hadn't been 32°C it wouldn't have felt so cold x_X. But, no, I try to keep away from mountain waterfalls, particularly in spring. Did it happen to you and was it voluntarily? ^^

Yeah, the S-Bahn in Munich will go on strike too, from 5 to 9 in the morning. And, living in the pampa, I have no other way of getting to school, so I'm already thinking of not going at all (yes, I'm a horrible student). I'm soooo glad it wasn't today. The problem is that I do understand these people and I'm all for granting them more money. I just wish they would do something that hits the management and Mehdorn himself instead of the commuters and students -_-;;

I wanted to try it and when you have time get used to it, it is okay. Your entire body is getting numb and outside it is burning like hell. Call me masochism but I liked it.

Unfortunately not going is not an option for me T__T. If the S-Bahn will come I'm one hour earlier for nothing *sigh*. If not I have enough time to read my books, when I get a seat, or getting crushed between the unlucky who don't. Since Tram is the only option except car or bycicle going from Offenbach to Frankfurt (No! No bus when you won't reach any dessert part of Frankfurt am Main) everyone like me will try catching it *headdesk*.

It sounds... interesting but I don't think I'd want to try it ^^;; I'm a coward.

Well, at least there are options other than the S-Bahn. I think with the bike it'd take me... 4 hours or so to reach school. Or I could go by bus but that'd take me about the same amount of time (I'd have to change busses 4 times to reach the outskirts of Munich and the next tram). In the car I think I'd have to start at 5 in the morning to be on time at 8 (about three times as much traffic as usual and the fact that I can never find my way around Munich in a car x_X). I'll just get up at 8 and listen to the radio. If there are still no trains, I'll go to bed again.

Eeep. Falling (or being pushed) into an 18°C lake? My sympathies. That does not sound the least bit fun at all. >_<

Random, unrelated to post comment. We currently have a guest from Germany at our office, and he's got all of the ladies (well, our accounting dept. mostly) drooling over his Aryan good looks. Blond and blue-eyed and under 30, y'know? ^0^

It wasn't fun at all ^^;; But, as I wrote above, I took revenge by eating all his chocolate-covered fruit. Hehe.

*blinks* Poor boy. Or maybe he likes all that attention XD. OK, I probably wouldn't even notice him, being around such people every day. But one of my best buddies has blue eyes and red hair. What do Asians think about red hair? Because, for example, while Mexican women would drool over your blond guy as well, they'd shy away from red hair. Superstition is scary ^^;;

Chocolate covered fruit is yummy, so I guess that you were well-revenged. Hehe.

Well, he was pretty game about all the middle-aged nurses (both single and married) who kept flocking to have their pictures taken with him, but I wouldn't say that he's an attention whore or anything like that. ^^

Superstition? About red hair?

I don't think we have that sort bias against redheads over here. But then again, anyone who looks Caucasian is automatically referred to as kano (short for Amerikano) or Joe (as in GI Joe)...

I think the japanese have something against red hair though. Wasn't red supposed to be the color of demons' hair? Though in HaruToki it's blond and not red.
