Okay, so because of far-reaching and ridiculous in-fighting in the fandom a while ago and the utterly consuming obsession that is the new STXI fandom and the fact that Tokyopop are whores who take way too long to license and print her shit in English, I've been feeling a bit bleh about the Saiyuki fandom.

And I've licked drool admired them all. They really are beautiful. Not all are sparkly.

I bought one too, but since I don't live near a Kinokuniya I had to order mine from cdjapan.com.

The sparkly Sanzo and Goku are *very* drool-worthy. If you want scans of any of them before you get to buying it, let me know - I have a large-format scanner at work!

Hey, you've been missed! I know in-fighting and stuff is a drag, but...think of the boys!! Gojyo's chain-smoking more than usual, Hakkai has been sighing more than usual, Sanzo is much snarkier than usual, and Goku--has that lost, sad, puppy-dog look in his eyes. Though they'd never admit it, they miss you! At least send them a letter every now and them to let them know you're all right....

I've seen a LOT of manga (I'll say "seen" and not "read" because I certainly don't have the time or energy to follow all the series I might find interesting), but Minekura's art style is by far my favorite. I love that her guys are strong/cut without being over-muscled, beautiful without being overly effeminate, and that she uses such dynamic, interesting poses. ;D
