Trade Secrets 4
Whoo! Yaoi-con is coming up! So that means I really gotta start finish my cosplay stuff! Luckily, I've been in productive mood this month. ((and yes, i will definitely finish all the hijack requests, don't worry!)) I have only ever done Seiten Taisei Goku cosplay, and I've been wanting to do normal Goku, too. So I finally made a diadem. Here are some pictures of it, and me wearing it with my Goku wig and Honey contacts on.
Hehe, it's a 99 cent headband with a dollar's worth of crafty foam glued on top of it. It was tough to make the shape symmetrical, even with the aid of a ruler. TAT It's covered in all-purpose sealer to reduce the porous nature of the foam and spray painted gold. it's actually reflective; you can see the red of my frogs' heat lamp on it in this picture, lol.
Here's Xpyne (me) wearing it. I still need to work some more on how I'm going to style the bangs. The don't want to stay like that for more than 3 seconds at a time. Oro;;;;;;;;;
Also, I've been working on Hakuryuu! Even though my and Soli's usual Hakkai cosplayer is too young to come to Y-con... lol ^^;;; But
eyesofshinigami is going to borrow her costume and be Hakkai! So if when Jeep is done by Y-con, I suppose I will let her carry him around. XD Here are some pictures and more on his progress.

hehe, he can hook onto my forearm, or balance on my shoulder, just like the "real" hakuryuu. =D
Here you can see how I covered him in foam so his wires won't be poky through his skin.
Here he is again, all covered in foam. Next up, I will attach his claws, cover him in precisely cut pieces of homemade fish bait, and then i will cover him in fake white snake skin cloth that I finally found at this awesome store in Los Angeles. More on that when he's a bit further along. :d
