Especially if I continue to put so much thought and care into my questions for
hp_read, the Harry Potter read-a-long group, I will be posting them here complete with a synopses of the discussion that followed. Cuts mercifully provided. :)

Child abuse and Harry Potter: Dumbledore's choice? )
As for the blood protection, the way D'dore lays out his strategy for protecting Harry at the end of OotP suggests he knew full well about it.
I hadn't thought about the parts of the magical world Harry will see but it will be interesting. No reason for Harry to go back to Hogwarts though. He learned more on his own then he did in school, and all the teachers have really managed to do is keep critical information from him!
I was just thinking it would be interesting if JKR threw in a couple of curveballs relatively early in the book. As it stands now, it seems obvious how it will go...Bill and Fleur's wedding...last trip to the Dursleys...Godric's Hollow...hunt for the Horcruxes (which I imagine will occupy the majority of the book)...final battle with Voldemort...epilogue. But I think it would be fun if there was a twist or two...say he ends up facing Voldemort before he's finished with the Horcruxes. He would probably have to face V twice in that case, but it would be unexpected and potentially interesting.
