Harry Potter book 7: I want it LONG and THICK
01. Deathly Hallows prediction meme, stolen from grrliz.
1. Are you going to look at every possible spoiler you can before the book comes out? Did you with HBP and how accurate were the ones you saw?
No spoilers for me, thanks. Last time I tried to avoid spoilers, too - successfully I might add. I made sure to read the book right after it came out (all-nighter fun!) so that I could safely surf the internet after that.
2. What will you do if Amazon (or whoever) don't deliver your copy on time, and everyone is reading it except you?
Beat them to a bloody pulp, of course. But actually this was my worry with HBP, so I pre-paid for a copy from my local independent bookseller and attended their (FABULOUS) Harry Potter book release party, and got my copy precisely at midnight. Right away the girls in front of me starting read chapter titles aloud, and I responded with plugging my ears and yelling "LA LA LA LA."
3. Will you read the last chapter before anything else? Are you planning to read the book all in one go or are you a slow reader?
God no. That's just silly. And like last time I'll read the book all at once (save sleep and food breaks) and only then let myself go online. The best defense against spoilers is a good offense, that's what I always say!
4. What's your theory on the meaning of "Deathly Hallows?"
I'm not into theorizing. But of what I've heard so far, the theories that "deathly hallows" refers to an actual place make the most sense (to be consistent with the previous books).
5. What's the craziest Harry Potter theory you've got, which you could only share with your trusted f-list?
Again, not big into theories, but... I actually really liked the Ron-travels-back-in-time-and-grows-up-to-become-Dumbledore theory before JKR squashed it.
6. If you could write in a sub-plot of your own choosing to the main Harry one, what would it be?
I'd like to know more about the Mauraders, so a prequel or flashbacks of sorts would be AWESOME.
7. Who do you think will die in the book, and who would you be most upset to see die, even if you don't think it's likely?
Half the Weasleys, unfortunately. I don't know if Harry will kick it or not, but I will be pissed if he does. Voldemort for sure.
8. Name three main (ish) characters who you think will definitely live and why. Is there a very minor character(s) you really want to have a happy ending?
This may be wishful thinking, but I really do think/hope the trio will survive in tact.
9. If you don't like the book, or are bitterly disappointed by it, do you think you'll still stay in the fandom?
Of course. If Harry dies I may need a longish break, but, hey, they're her books and she can do what she wants! I just hope she can manage to tie up a majority of the plot threads in the last book.
10. One word (or concise) answers only!
I'm going to have to go with grrliz' answer here and say Mad-Eye Moody, being a specialist in the dark arts and all.
12. Will Remus and Greyback have a confrontation in human or werewolf form? Will Tonks be involved? Who will the other werewolves support?
No idea. Human form I guess, no Tonks, and werewolves will support Remus.
13. Who is the person from Harry's class (and it isn't him, Ron or Hermione), who will become a Hogwart's teacher? What subject will they teach?
Neville, herbology.
14. Do you think Harry will observe Remus looking less lined and walking with a little more of a spring in his step? If so, do you think he'll attribute it to Tonks, and if he does, will he blush?
No to the blushing, but I think Remus might not be so depressed and sad anymore. Maybe being with Tonks will helps his confidence and happiness.
15. Will Ginny use, "But Professor Lupin saw the futility of being a noble prat!" for one of her million arguments with Harry about why they should be together? Do you think they'll get back together at all?
I think Ginny showed herself to have grace at the end of HBP, and I don't see why she would blow it by going all Drama Queen now. She's always been pretty mature in that way, so I think she understands why she and Harry need to be apart. And yes they'll get back together - IF HARRY DOESN'T DIE.
16. Which house do you think Tonks is in, and why? Is she going to morph into someone important and who will it be?
Gryffindor, because she doesn't seem to fit with the other houses. Again I have to refer to grrliz and say that perhaps Tonks has served as a plot point to reveal that someone else in the series in an anamorphmagus.
17. Who will be revealed to be the heir of Gryffindor?
Harry.
18. As JKR has promised the final chapter will be like an epilogue; how do you think the final paragraph (hopefully) donated to Remus' future, and/or Tonks', and/or anyone else you want to write a paragraph on, will read?
Hopefully it will tie up most everything that hasn't fit into the narrative of the book.
19. Which question from the books would it annoy you most not to have answered?
SPY PEN! Wait, wrong fandom. Um, Snape. But that HAS to be covered in this book. If not -- *tears hair out*.
20. What do you think the last line of the book is?
And they lived happily ever after.
Just kidding. Something along the lines that Harry feels accepted and loved and has finally found a family or is at peace with his place in the world. Or it will be everyone crying at his funeral. ;)

03. It snowed here again today. I wish I had my camera with me when I was waiting for a cab at the grocery store. THIS looks like Christmas! I was thinking - snow softly falling, mounds of white everywhere, people bustling with all their packages. Just a month too late.
