Summary: Severus is still recovering during the summer holiday and Harry is determined to celebrate with him.
AN: In honor of my son being born on Thursday I have made an effort to write a new drabble. I was hoping he’d be a little later than his due date, maybe be born on the 31st (haha!) but alas no. He does share a birthday with his proud papa though!
“The longest day of the year is usually celebrated with family and friends,” The raspy voice from the bed explained. “You should make time for your admirers.”
“I’m not interested in their pretty words or fake smiles. I’m right where I want to be.”
“Helping this invalid of a social pariah? Please.”
Harry gives an exasperated sigh. “No; helping my mom’s best friend get back on his feet after a terrible injury, putting right a terrible misconception, finding a kindred spirit in the most unlikely of places.”
“You are waxing poetic again.”
“So we’re not friends?”
“I didn’t say that.”
