All psychological evidence shows that witness testimonies are extremely unreliable. The fact that this man's death sentence is based entirely upon such testimony (never mind the fact that seven such testimonies are on record for changing their stories after the fact) is completely unconscionable. Another great author of the 20th century died this year. Kurt Vonnegut, died at the age of 84 last night. I can't be too broken up about it. They both (that is, both Vonnegut and Robert Anton Wilson) lived prolific and influential lives. To die with a resume like that is a glorious thing indeed. (I just wish I could have met them!)
