- Abraca-Fuck-You!, by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella). Rated R (male/male slash, Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Edited author's summary) “Who needed you?” Stiles asked, uncapping his water.
“Hm?” Cole had been looking out at something in the field, and he focussed back on Stiles then. “What?”
“You said it comes about when someone needs us. Who needed you?”
He probably shouldn’t have asked, because Cole looked sad all of a sudden. Like he hadn’t thought about becoming a Sorcerer in a long time. Stiles could see that being what he was had cost him greatly, and he couldn’t help but wonder if he was going to run into the same problem.
“A friend,” Cole said quietly. “Someone who was very dear to me. But I didn’t get there fast enough. I waited too long to help them.”

(Author's summary) Peter was suspicious. Just generally, as a person. He always assumed his fellow man had impure motives until they proved otherwise, and then he still kept an eye out. But at this particular moment, he was specifically suspicious of Derek’s new girlfriend. He's not the only one.

(Edited author's summary) Peter always claimed that soulmates were the universe manipulating you.
Now that he has one of his own, he's willing to admit that maybe he was wrong. Maybe, your soulmate is exactly what you need. And maybe you're what they need, too.

(Author's summary) Stiles was just kind of weird. Weird name, weird sense of humor, weird habits. So it wasn’t really a surprise to anyone that his weirdness extended to the point of him being a Guide. Hell, it wasn’t even really a surprise when he was shipped off to the special school for Guides and Sentinels that were too potent to be in public before they were trained. But it was a little bit of a surprise when his instructors discovered that he was not, in fact talking to himself between classes as they thought.
He was talking to his soul animal.

(Author's summary) “There’s a boy alone in the woods,” Talia said with a furrowed brow, hanging her coat up by the door.
“Yes, sister dear, there is,” Peter drawled back from the couch.
“He seems a little young to be out there by himself,” she continued. “Do you know how long he’s been there? Maybe we should ask if he’s lost.”
“Considering that this is his third visit this week, and eighth in the last month, I think he can probably find his way home."
NB: More fic by this author can be found here and is recommended in the current/'Teen Wolf' section. - If Control Is Not Enough, by KindreTurnany. Rated R (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Stiles doesn't talk about the darkness around his heart. He doesn't talk about the nogitsune that possessed him or the young man he killed. He doesn't talk about the night he said he didn't want to be a monster like Peter Hale. He doesn't talk about how Peter said he was lying.
Or, at least, he didn't when he was human.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - I.N.K., by billtheradish. Rated R (male/male slash, Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) The house never burned. The pack is strong. Derek will never need to be the alpha, and his sister is a troll. (Actually, most of his family is like that.) Derek is an apprentice tattoo artist, and Stiles isn't old enough to get ink of his own yet. But that doesn't stop him from being interesting...
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - It's for the birds!, by Wineabout. Rated G (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Stiles is holding a bag of gourmet bird seed with a mild pink crawling up his jawline and his feet shifting on the porch wood. “You were telling me about the bird feeders in your backyard, and I thought, you know, I never brought over baking or something. Scott’s mom said we were supposed to bring something around to the neighbors but everyone else around here…” Stiles’ face pulls down and he shrugs one shoulder.
“Keeps to themselves?” Peter suggests with a smirk, as if he hadn’t spent his years on this block ignoring every other neighbor he’s had.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - Learning Curve (A), by Bunnywest. Rated PG-13 (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Peter Hale has no time at all for adults, but he adores his little pack of five year olds, and they adore him in return. His classroom runs like a well oiled machine, and the last thing he needs is a student teacher throwing a spanner in the works.
Which is too bad, because Principal Finstock insists he have one. Hopefully, this kid's not as useless as the last one.

(Author's summary) Stiles is happy with his store, his hobbies, his friends. Peter's just trying to figure out how to raise his nieces and nephew without fucking them up too badly. Paths cross.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - Parking Tickets and Politics, by DiscontentedWinter. Rated PG-13 (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.

(Author's summary) Inspired by the concept and stunning art by the talented Suis0u on Tumblr. Everything was different. The world he knew was gone. It’d been a long time since he’d started thinking he was probably one of the last humans on earth, that out there the only sentient beings were those that would devour him whole. He wasn’t sure why he continued with the radio broadcasts, continued to talk into nothingness. The only explanation was that there was a spark of hope in him yet that he wasn’t alone. The lonely safety Stiles has built around an old radio tower in the middle of nowhere is about to be broken. Stiles isn’t sure if Derek is a harbinger of chaos or hope at the end of the world.

(Edited author's summary) When Stiles Stilinski is kidnapped at the age of five in a playground, John Stilinski will do everything in his power to bring his son home. Hours turned to days, days to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years. After his wife dies of cancer, he tries to find his only son, but after eleven years he gives up hope. Now Derek Hale and his pack decide to go on a trip to New York City. That one trip though, will make all the difference.

NB: More fic by this author can be found here and is recommended in the current/'Teen Wolf' section. - Seed Wolf, by Yiichi. Rated G (Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Stiles finds a mysterious packet of seeds one day called 'Seed Wolf'. He doesn't expect anything to grow from them, maybe a flower or something to replace his beloved (and deceased) cactus Bertrand. What grows from the little seed is surprising.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - Spell of Forthcoming's Spent, by WolfwithSnakeEyes. Rated PG (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Sheriff Stilinski, Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Peter wanted a chance to do it all again. When he receives a gift, what will he do with this chance.
...Peter jerked awake instantly. His breath was heavy and stacked together, his lungs constricting like they had in his dream. He had heard of this. His grandmother possessed this gift. The gift of foresight: a gift that presents itself when the possessor is at a crossroads, where one decision can change the course of one’s life. Each time the gift shows you the course you are on and what life you shall live. You get to choose to live that life or change it in that split second. His grandmother said she was only afforded two crossroads in her life, and only changed it once...
And in that moment he took a different path.
...Peter stood there for a moment when he saw something else. A little boy was walking down the street. He couldn't have been more than seven or so, and he was twitching as he walked determinedly forward. Peter knew this boy, but from where?
And in that moment when he moved toward the seven year old instead of Hannah to introduce himself, he felt his life shift...
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - Stella and the Wolf, by DiscontentedWinter. Rated PG-13 (male/male slash, Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Stiles Stilinski is trying to juggle homework, high school, stupid dumb crushes on unattainable people, and werewolves. Keeping the supernatural secret from his dad is hard enough, but when it comes to Stella, his eight-year-old sister, it turns out it’s impossible.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here and is recommended in the current (i.e. 'Teen Wolf') section. - Stiles Stella Stilinski (Or Finding Out Who You Really Are), by Goldenpetal13. Rated R (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Incomplete/ongoing fic)
(Author's summary) Set after season 2, ignores any and all season 3, Stiles has ignored part of himself for so long and as he ends up abandoned by everyone he can’t ignore it any longer, but maybe that’s a good thing, oh and a certain creeper wolf keeps crawling through his window.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - To Have and to Hold, by KouriArashi. Rated PG-13 (male/male slash, Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) “Yes, well, you see . . .” Deucalion cleared his throat again. “In an effort for authenticity, the writer used an actual binding ceremony in the script. The casting director, wanting to make sure it was pronounced correctly, found an actual shaman to perform it. He did so.”
“You - you mean - are you saying that Derek and I are actually married?” Stiles managed to squeeze out of his rapidly closing throat.
NB: More fic by this author can be found here and is recommended in the current/'Teen Wolf' section. - Under the Songbird's Wing, by mia6363. Rated NC-17 (male/male slash, Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski). Recommended by Angela.
(Author's summary) Captivity easily destroys the will of escape. It can break the fiercest of animal. It can strip the most regal man and woman down to nothing but animal needs. Captivity can, if met with unwavering determination, shape a person into something unimaginable. Stiles is sixteen when he's captured. Stiles's first thought is, "I won't die here."
NB: More fic by this author can be found here. - Up Down Lock Unlock, by isthatbloodonhisshirt (wasterella). Rated G. Recommended by Angela.
(Edited author's summary) “Why are you going into grandma Ito’s apartment?” he asked.
Derek turned to him, key sliding into the lock. “What do you mean?” He tried to turn it, but the key wasn’t budging. Maybe the lock was sticking again, it’d been doing that the past few days.
Stiles was staring at him like Derek was stupid.
Derek did not appreciate sass from a ten year old.
“That’s grandma Ito’s place.”
“No,” Derek said calmly, pulling the key out and then shoving it back in, wiggling it a little when it continued to refuse to unlock the door. “This is my place.”
“I think you’re on the wrong floor then, because that apartment belongs to grandma Ito.”

(Edited author's summary) “You’re late,” Derek informed him coldly, jaw clenched. He barely even moved his mouth to speak. This guy was seriously scary.
And because Stiles was suicidal, he said, “No, I’m Stiles.”
The look he got could’ve curdled milk. Stiles even noticed that Derek’s muscles were tensing, arms bulging even more and wow this guy was scary and hot but mostly scary.
“You’re not funny,” Derek informed him coldly.
Stiles shrugged. “I think that’s a matter of opinion.”

True Blood (TV show)
- Weapons of destruction, by queen_haq (queen_haq_fics). Rated NC-17 (Eric/Sookie, AU, based on the TV series). Recommended by Bea.
This is a completely AU fic, set in a universe where there is no magic and no vampires, etc. Our two characters meet and fall in love. It's pretty amazing to be able to change the setting of the story so completely and still have these two characters feel like they are the people we 'know' from the TV show. Very awesome.
NB: To read this particular fic you need to join the group queen_haq_fics. Other fic by this author can be found here. - Selfless to the End, by My Universe. NC-17 (Eric/Sookie, based on the books and the TV series). Recommended by Bea.

Veronica Mars
- Madison Sinclair, this is your life (backwards and in technicolor), by igrockspock. Rated G/PG. Recommended by Bea.
Author's summary: Life is full of stupid accidents: you get switched at birth and find out by mistake. You see a red light and hit the accelerator instead of slamming on the brakes.
Bea's comment: This fic is incredible. The author does an amazing job of taking a character who was truly unlikeable on screen and humanizing her.
NB: More fic by this author can be found in the 'Star Trek' (reboot universe), 'Star Wars', and 'Avengers (The)', 'Veronica Mars'/current sections of my fanfic pages, and is also here. - Money Shot (The), by igrockspock. PG-13. Recommended by Bea.
Author's summary: Eight weeks and six days after Lily's funeral, Veronica takes her first case: catching Richard Casablancas, Sr. on camera with a local stripper. All she has to do is lie to her dad long enough to get the money shot. Should be easy, right?
NB: More fic by this author can be found in the 'Star Trek' (reboot universe), 'Star Wars', and 'Avengers (The)', 'Veronica Mars'/current sections of my fanfic pages, and is also here. - When He Was Good, by Orithain and Rina. Rated NC-17 (Veronica/Logan). Recommended by Bea.

And, of course, in the face of a whole lot of trials and tribulations. I have to say that 'Always a Bridesmaid' is my favorite. - Chances Series, by Alex Jones and Elessar. NC-17 (Mulder/Krycek slash). Recommended by Angela.
Angela's comments: Sometimes when you go back and read a story you haven't read in years, it doesn't hold up to time. And sometimes it's better. This is one of those. Great characterizations and good angst. - Dear Mr. Mulder, by wombat. Rated PG-13. Recommended by Bea.
Mulder moves into a new apartment. This causes some, er, difficulties for his neighbors.
Bea's comments: Absolutely hilarious. - Generations Series, by MacSpooky, Juliettt, and Eowyn Evenstar. Rated R (Mulder/Scully, Skinner/Margaret). Recommended by Angela.
It starts with Mulder's visits to Scully while she is in a coma during the time of 'One Breath' and ultimately wades its way through his marriage to Dana, their honeymoon, and early married life, later married life, children and everything in between. Old characters and new it feels like an old friend. It focuses more on character exploration rather than X-files though that does play a factor. 34 stories in all. Logan Howlett is Charles' long time friend and bodyguard, in a secret love affair with the married Prince Consort. Or Regency/Arranged Marriage/Age Difference/House of M style/Love Triangle AU.
