  Author's summary: They've been through a lot together.
  Bea's note: It would honestly have been nice if the show went in this direction, rather than continually treating Ivanova (and even more so Franklin, who as the lone regular PoC character somehow wound up mostly being just.... there) pretty badly. My 0.02$.

  This is a fix-it fic. Mostly.

• Balance of Power, by Jennifer Lyon, Anne Haight (ralaegidius), and Sue Phillips. NC-17 (some slash) (Sheridan/Delenn/Sinclair). Recommended by Bea.
  Londo Mollari taunts Sheridan, and in response Sinclair and Sheridan play a trick on Londo. This trick and Londo's behavior towards Sheridan then have further unexpected consequences.

• Delenn's Gethsemane, by Wendy Dale. PG-13. (Sheridan/Delenn) Recommended by Bea.
  Written before the episode 'Interludes and Examinations' in Season 4 where Delenn's role in the Earth/Minbari war was revealed, this quite romantic story contains some speculation as to what might have happened if humans had found out about her role.

• Five Babysitters of David Sheridan (The), by ddagent. Rated G. Recommended by Bea.
  Author's summary: Five times David Sheridan was babysat by his parents' friends - and made most of them regret it. An 'Everybody Lives' AU.

  Sometime after Babylon 5 seceded from the Earth Alliance, John Sheridan's father is captured and interrogated.

• I Think I Loved Talia, by Serenablackcat. Rated R (Talia Winters/Susan Ivanova f/f slash). Recommended by Bea.
  Author's summary: Susan suspected the real reason she remained closeted, long after she had left the place of her upbringing, was because she was accustomed to being closeted about something else: telepathy.

  Author's summary: Spoilers for the end of the Earth/Babylon 5 war, when Marcus saves Susan using that alien life-draining machine. A fix-it story.

  A truly hilarious story where the humans on the station decide to organize a scavenger hunt, in which all races are invited to participate. Julia Hugo-Vidal is now a published author.
• Syllables, by ddagent. Rated G (Delenn/Sheridan). Recommended by Bea.
  Author's summary: John is worried that David has not yet said 'da-da'. Delenn reassures him.

  (Incomplete fic) At the end of the fourth season of Babylon 5, Susan Ivanova left Babylon 5 to captain her own ship. This story begins where the TV show leaves off. (The link is to Bea's website, not the author's.)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

  A series of 13 stories of various lengths and 4 alternate universe stories. This series focuses on Willow and Angel and is quite LOL funny. It's set in high school and Willow is more witchy than she is in the series.

• Autumnal Equinox, by Anne Haight (ralaegidius). NC-17 (Buffy/Giles). Recommended by Bea.
  As Buffy draws closer to adulthood, she must deal with an unexpected mystical connection to her Watcher.

• Detention, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, by Lexy. NC-17 (Willow/Oz). Recommended by Angela.
  Angela's comments: Willow and Oz get detention. Smoochies ensue. This is one of the few stories with Oz in it that I still love. I was scarred by the whole Veruca nasty and unfortunately I find it hard to remember why I liked Oz. This story makes me remember.
• Fallen Angels, by Anastasia. NC-17 (some slash) (Willow/Angelus/Spike). Recommended by Angela and Bea.
  (Incomplete fic) Diverging from the series in the second season this story focuses on Willow, who reluctantly becomes Angelus' consort.

• Friendship, by Melinda S. Dawney. NC-17 or PG-13 versions available (Willow/Angel, a bit of Buffy/Xander, Buffy/Angel). Recommended by Angela.
  This story is based upon the premise that Buffy is giving up her star-crossed love for Angel in order to pursue a more obtainable relationship with (a very lucky) Xander. A heart-broken Willow gets swept up in a rather complex mess involving Angel, a clandestine clan of vampires, and (sob) ANOTHER prophecy. This story begins after Buffy and Xander's dance in 'When She Was Bad'.

• Game (The) -parts 1 to 6 (Welcome to the Jungle to Master of Puppets), by Sabershadowkitten/Henry Jones Jr. NC-17 or PG-13 versions available (Buffy/Spike, Willow/Angel). Recommended by Angela.
  The Game is a series of 6 stories and a couple of interludes, that involve a group of unknown rich people who bet on the outcome of live action games. Buffy and Spike become favorites in this game and eventually the whole gang is involved.

• Guardian Angel Series, by Lucinda. PG-13. Recommended by Angela.
  Angela: Willow brings Angel out of hell. I like this because the stories explore how damaged Angel was after all of that time in hell and how Willow would be affected by caring for him and dealing with everything else happening at the time. I always thought Angel just snapping back to himself after saving Buffy was a cop out, and now I get to see it done right.

• inell (formerly located at Kiss or Kill website). (Several NC-17 stories are posted here.) This is the name of the site for Inell's fanfic. Recommended by Angela.
  She is a very prolific author and it was not possible to pick out just a couple of her stories, so we are recommending all of her fic. Browse to your heart's content.

• Last Summer (The), by Annie Sewell-Jennings. NC-17 (Buffy/Spike) Recommended by Bea.
  Author's summary: After the world is destroyed by nuclear apocalypse, Buffy and Spike meet up in Australia for what may be the last summer on Earth.

• Love is Blind, by Avalon. NC-17 (Buffy/Spike). Recommended by Bea.
  Buffy has been blinded and therefore can't fight. Believing she needs to die, she is saved by Spike, and our pair then go through some adventures together.

• Masters and Minions, by Medea. NC-17 (Willow/Angel/Spike). Recommended by Angela.
  A series of 9 stories so far where Willow is turned by a minion -which is a major no no in the vampire world. Angel agrees to teach her (with Spike's help) how to be a vampire and survive. The series takes place over several decades of life and details how they survive together.

• Mr Gordo Bites the Big One, by Eris Goddess of Discord (erisgod). Rated G. Recommended by Bea.
  A hilarious rendition of Mr.Gordo's (Buffy's stuffed animal in BtVS) untimely demise. ;-)

• Phoenix Burning, by Yahtzee. R (Buffy/Angel. This fic also is a crossover between both BtVS and Angel the Series). Recommended by Bea.
  Diverging from the series after the end of season 5, this truly gripping story takes place in a distant future where Buffy wakes up to find a world vastly changed. (Summary taken partly from the author's site.)
  Additional note from Bea: As an additional rec, check out Yahtzee's other stories, such as I-55 and The Quality of Mercy (NC-17, Angel/Riley slash -if this pairing isn't to your liking the author has set things up so you can avoid certain parts and still follow the story).

• Ships That Pass Into Type, by honorh. (Rated PG-13. Please note that this fic does discuss sex and slash, though not explicitly. This fic also is a crossover between both BtVS and Angel the Series.) Recommended by Bea.
  A very short parody of both 'Angel' and 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' fanfiction, which pokes fun at story devices which have been done/written to death in this fandom.

• Take Your Time, by Carrie. NC-17 and PG-13 versions available (Willow/Angel/Spike). Recommended by Bea.
  Spike, wanting Drusilla back, decides to use magic to go back in time and change certain events leading to the current timeline. A requirement of the spell makes him drag a reluctant Willow into the past with him.
• techsupport@demons.com, by Perri Smith. Rated PG-13 (This fic also is a crossover between both BtVS and Angel the Series.) Recommended by Bea.
  The residents of Sunnydale and L.A. join forces to research prophecies, fight demons, defeat evil... and tackle Cordelia's dry cleaning. (Summary taken from the author's site.)

• Thrall, by Chase. NC-17 (Buffy/Spike). Recommended By Bea.
  (Incomplete fic) Diverging from the series after this point, this story deals with the attraction Buffy felt for soulless Spike in season 6, and goes in a completely different (and highly interesting) direction from the show.
