As if grad. school wasn't fraught with enough danger....
Guess who totally fell down the stairs this morning? Oh yeah, me.
The stairs in my grad. housing are outside and have metal lips which become incredibly slippery when wet. It's been raining off and on lately and I do try to be very careful when taking the stairs (which is most of the time), but even being careful apparently isn't good enough. I'm very lucky that I didn't fall too far and that I mostly just managed to get a huge bruise on my arm, it could have been so much worse. I will go complain to the housing office on Monday that this is a major safety hazard.
The good side was the guy at Starbuck's gave me free coffee this morning when he found out I had just fallen down the stairs. It was very sweet.
