I read somewhere online that roughly 10% of all girls who attend prom become pregnant. The authors seemed outraged, judging by their attempt to coax the reader to prevent their daughters from being sexually active.

Does that mean that girls should be having sex with their dates?

Umm... not really. It's more likely that the author is trying to prevent young people from being too reckless during prom.

Though whether they're getting their point across properly is questionable.

It is my understanding that most teenagers don't follow their parent's orders. With this knowledge, I reversed the meaning of the passage, deciding that any typical high school student might find the text to be irritating or over-protective. I suppose the better way to phrase my question would be, "does that mean that my peers intend to have sex with their dates after prom?"

You are going to prom. Do you have a date?

I... suppose?

Perhaps, then, you are considering sex. After all, it is my understanding that women are inferior unless they have sex with their dates so they may create offspring.

Well, that's a decision that's up to the individual girl, whether she's old enough for it and whether she's ready for it...

You have a date. Are you going to have intercourse with him after prom?

T-that's not something you just ask people like that!

Oh. I apologize.

Should I rephrase my question so it is indirect?

I will be seconding this what Goombella said.

Anshu, when you are ready - and you will know when you are - then you'll know when it's the time for something like that.

Before making any decisions of the sort, note the age of your 'partner'. In some places that's considered an issue if you are too young or if the other is too old. Age gaps can be a conflict.

It's interesting that you brought this up now, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't the least bit expecting it.

Age gaps...

Nabooru, if I aged the same as people, I would be considered over 1,000 years old. Should I be searching for someone of the same age group? I do not know how old Porygon-Z is...

Right. I figured Pokémon would be different. I don't know much regarding ages between you guys. As far as I know, Brock's the one with breeder knowledge. Why don't you ask him?

On the other hand, I don't know what the rules are here regarding that kind of content.

[And Nabs too proud to admit that she's still a virgin.]

Okay. I will try to ask Brock about what is and what is not appropriate for Pokémon relationships.

You mean, human content. Right?

I'm pretty positive it's not a requirement.

Still, I suppose it clarifies that many girls have intercourse with their dates after prom. That is something that they do as a community. It is my goal to understand what people do.

Well, either way, they certainly don't have to. It's all a matter of what you're comfortable with, I guess.

I see. People appear to have differing opinions on the matter of sex.
