In which I fangirl my notebook

Seriously, buying this notebook is one of the best decisions I've ever made. (I'm updating from it right now!) It has totally snapped me out of my writing funk. I'd suspected that half my problem was a mental aversion to coming home and sitting at my desk after work, and this just proves it because I've gotten so much done sitting on my couch to write for the last three days. ♥

That doesn't make this book any less first draft-y, but hey, I'm getting words down. I can expand and revise later (even though my first--really second, but I wrote it first--chapter is way longer than I thought it would be). Few things come out nearly-perfect in the first draft, and this one's not terrible...it seems fairly average for me. Technically proficient, nothing wrong with it, but not a whole lot in the prose that's wow-ing me yet. Of course, I'm kind of used to my own writing style, so I don't know what would stand out to me as special... I didn't expect this chapter to be all that exciting anyway. I'm happy with my progress even if I know it's not perfected yet.

Also, I caught up on the last few episodes of True Blood. Sam is a PUPPY! Shape-shifter thing. I don't care, he first showed up as a puppy (a rather cute one too).

Of interest to kate_andy and scruffyrebel--I have some hilarious stuff to tell you about after catching Alien 3 (dog alien) and the tail end of AVP last week. Also, there are apparently three more Prophecy movies, with more Christopher Walken. I don't know how, but there just are.
