Feels like a pin cushion; rl
Today was the day that I was seeing the rheumatologist. Had my arthritis checked out seeing as I've been in a low grade flareup since the new year. Nine, yes thats NINE vials of blood removed from my arm which surely now must be empty! Anyway they are testing full blood count, thryoid function, kidney function, CRP (?), liver function (Oh shit, errr how many bottles of wine have I drunk this week...?), aPTT(anybody?), rheumatoid factor, ANA(again anybody?), IgE, CCP.
Then was poked and prodded some more, sent off to see the arthro-bloke who poke and prodded me even more. He asked me loads of the same questions he has asked before and took a strange interest in my right hip which wasnt hurting at the time but by the time he had finished trying to gauge the range of movement I have by trying to put my right leg behind my head (OK not exactly but that is what it felt like), I was in bloody agony.
Sent off for Xrays then got bollocked for still doing karate (find something of less high impact Mrs Solarflar3); nope sorry, I'm six months away from my blackbelt.
Can I have a new body now please?
