i love the crackling noise a record makes

I'm rocking out to some old live Sonic Youth on my new record player and trying to finish organizing a huge agenda for a meeting tomorrow.  Next time I visit my parents I gotta remember to pick up my records in the old brown milk crate.  Fuck I love Sonic Youth.  They're one of those bands that can take you to another place, mood, orientation.  I need to get to sleep soon, I screwed up my sleep cycle by staying up until 5am on a weeknight. And of course, I was so tired that I totally missed the earthquake that came a half hour after I succumbed to sleep.

I'm volunteering a lot lately and trying to fit everything in.  Spending two hours a day getting to the Y and working out for my knee rehab gets kind of old, but I know I need to keep with it so that I can run around at McCormack's Creek and Yellowwood this summer.  I so look forward to going out there; the trees and calm make me feel so relaxed.

Enough of agendas and lists to be accomplished.

Starting to think about trips this summer.  Really want to go to Minneapolis and out west to experience Portland and take advantage of their awesome local transit system.  Although, my friend out east really wants me to visit him and check out the NYC music scene. I really want to visit him, but I've been to New York City a lot and haven't been out west much.  Darrr, what to do.  I might as well use my vacation time since I can't horde it for cash at the end of my grant cycle.  Is it possible for me to do all three, hmmm....

Where is cheap warping power ya know; I mean come on, didn't sci-fi promise that years ago?
