♦ [C.C. - Reserve III] debilitate April 20 2009, 08:13:48 UTC
PERSONALITY: Let's face it: C.C.'s a difficult character to pinpoint where her personality exactly lies. Her most notable traits are her arrogant, selfish, quiet, indifferent, sarcastic, jaded, cynical - all these traits and more are what people mostly get from their first time meeting her. Having been alive for so long, C.C. can come off as aloof and tired, having that sort of "been there, done that" attitude to most things, making her come off as passive - but can one blame her? She finds certain things about humanity amusing, and teases accordingly, regardless of how the recipient of her teasing feels about the matter entirely. When first meeting C.C., one can definitely see the veil of mystery about her, but, hers is a thick veil, and she's not one to give up secrets easily; most likely, she'll ignore you and move onto other topics. This pits her to be called a "witch" by some, and, hey, she doesn't deny it - it's not like she hasn't been called that before.

Aside from these rather negative traits about her, C.C. has, of course, from living centuries of life, a deep and profound wisdom of what is going on around her, often giving advice to others, most notably Lelouch, but, nonetheless, advice one would be foolish enough to ignore. At rare times, she may even seem to be empathetic to others, but, even that comes rarely - and it doesn't help the amount of interaction she gets is rather... sparse. However, her past with Mao, and her obvious guilt of him and how he turned out is one of the few signs that show her "humanity", something she seems to want to hide in favor of being the indifferent and strong witch. It is only when mentions of her true name - a name found by Lelouch on accident, and said exactly as she had wanted it to be said the first time - when the "witch" breaks down into tears, as well as being "thanked for the first time". At that moment in the cave is the first instance that there is more to her than she appears (personality-wise).

What would be strange to some, and an aggravation to Lelouch, is C.C.'s deep and obsessive love for pizza. Yes, pizza, especially pizza from Pizza Hut. She eats numerous and startling amounts of pizza on Lelouch's credit card, eating four times a day, and collecting coupons to increase her collection of Cheese-kun merchandise, the mascot of Pizza Hut in their world. It is in this part of her life that a childishness is shown of the aged witch, often throwing reason out the window when explaining things about pizza, as well as going to some dangerous lengths as visiting public festivals when she knows she's wanted by Britannia and such.

At the end of it all, after Zero Requiem, C.C. looks upon the world anew, feeling that she is no longer alone due to her time and memories shared with Lelouch. She is ready to open up to people more, and, no doubt, will show more of her true feelings to others, but... with that light and playful tone she said in that last sentence, one can tell that while some things change, some things stay the same.
