characters: Jr. ( extraxi )
location: Near the CRATER OF DOOM.
time: Evening sometime.
rating: Um PG-13 :|
open/closed: Closed yo, Kiku is the mood for a narrative and it's kinda crappy.

He liked moving, to be doing things so he didn't stop and start thinking. So old memories wouldn't creep up in the shadows to wrap themselves around his neck. It was only a matter of time before those memories can creeping back to him, what with the fire and destruction surrounding him like a bad dream, it wasn't long until the fires of Milita re-entered his mind.

It happened so long ago, but it felt as if it had only just happened; replaying in his mind like a old movie stuck on repeat. He tried to ignore it, to focus his mind on other things, like helping with the clean up or helping the injured. But no matter how many times he tried to distract himself it all cam rushing back. He wanted to scream, instead he shoved a smile on his face and kept on going. Helping who needed to be helped, even if they looked at him with scorn and distaste.

He was used to that, far too used to it. He let it roll off his shoulders like water, it was all he could do, there was no point in getting angry about it. He really wouldn't blame the locals if they thought it was all their fault their city was attacked and so many of their friends and families died.

Eventually there was no one else to help and Jr. was forced to stop and sit, exhaustion running through his body, but he didn't want to sleep. He didn't really want to rest when the memories were still dancing around his head. Instead he tried to talk to his brother, the one who he wasn't even sure was still in his subconscious anymore, to anyone else it would look like Jr. was talking to himself. But despite all the people he had met in this place... he was alone.

He missed having the link with Gaignun, to have to shield his thoughts when he tried to organize a surprise birthday party for his brother. He missed falling asleep with a book on his face only to be woken up by Gaignun's voice in his mind. Now there was no comfort of that link, no voice echoing in his head reminding him he was supposed to be doing paperwork and not taking a nap with a copy of The Raven on his face. There was just a empty, hollow space that could never be filled.

Hell he even missed Albedo, despite everything that had happened. Despite all the pain he had caused him and his friends. What he would give just to hear the bastards crazy laugh again, the very thought made Jr. laugh and shake his head, wow he must had fallen to some sort of low to be wanting to hear that again. One of the few things that sent shivers down his spine every time he heard it.

After a while he stopped talking to nothing, shifting and stretching as his eyes grew heavy, exhaustion trying to take hold. As much as he missed chaos and the rest, as much as he wished he'd be back on the Elsa listening to Matthews yell at Hammer and Tony for one thing or another, there were people here he didn't really want to leave. Not yet. Like Frederic and Zelda, for now being here with them was just as good as being back home. And before he even realized it, Jr. had fallen asleep on the bench out in the cold night, hands behind his head folded like a pillow and his cat ( who he thought he had had lost when the attack began ) jumping up and using his chest as a pillow.

Completely ignorant of the possible scolding he would be getting later.
