casting spoiler reactions
All this talk about casting spoilers reminded me of when it was rumored that Sean Bean was going to be playing Sylar. It was on his IMDB page and everything. I was so disappointed when it turned out to be some actor I'd never heard of. Then I fell in love with Zachary Quinto. I don't know what my point is, or if I even have one. Just wow. The internet has really changed fandom. It's crazy. We can get this info & news on upcoming casting & plotlines instantly. It's pretty amazing. And maybe fans in general jump to reactions, so when the episode or casting in question actually occurs, we've already got these preconceived notions fixed in our brains. Again, not sure what my point is. I was just reminded of my Sean Bean disappointment, and how wrong I was about my first reaction to Zachary Quinto. I forget who I was talking to (I think it was ashinae?), and they said "I forgive you for not being Sean Bean." That basically sums it up. And now I fling an icon at you. Because that sentiment deserves to be one.
