I'm choosing to talk about what I liked now. I read some reactions before watching this episode, which made me really scared and I put off watching it. Now that I've seen it, I agree with a lot of the criticisms, but there were a bunch of things I liked. Um, so I had really low expectations going in. I'm kind of glad I did because it made it more enjoyable. Yeah, sooo, anyway.
Fire-hose of holy water & loudspeaker exorcism!! BRILLIANT.
SAM & CASTIEL, YESSSSS. They need to have more scenes together. In fact, I would adore an entire episode of just Sam & Castiel doing stuff. PLZ MAKE HAPPEN, SHOW. I also thought: "Yay, wistful_fever has more scenes for vids!"
You know what I would love to see happen? I want Dean to say yes to Lucifer. We know from when Michael took over Young John, that even if that vessel isn't their OTV (One True Vessel), if it's the same bloodline, it's almost as good. At the very least, it holds out a lot longer than random Joe Schmo Vessel. For Lucifer's part, he either gets a better vessel in Dean than the one he's got, or even better for him, he can use that as leverage to get Sam to say yes. As in, I'll leave your brother here if you say yes. As for Dean, with his current headspace I could see him saying yes if the angels fuck with him more and Lucifer then gives him a stellar sales pitch. It'd have to be a pretty amazing sales pitch, though. PLZ MAKE HAPPEN, SHOW.
