No, I don't really think you ought to hate the album. I felt the same way when Poe released her album "Haunted" and old fans responded so adversely simply because her style had changed a bit, they claimed she'd "gone Pop". I also feel similarly about M. Night Shyamalan's The Village. So many are upset with the final plot twist, but I, personally, find it to be clever in that it was the last thing anyone expected to happen. Also because I find his commentary on modern greed and violence rather interesting. But maybe that's just me. Oh well.
