Possible Next Gown?
Well, since the black elizabethan is done, I need to plan/start another project. I've got two in mind right now.
#1: English gown, 1560s/1570s. Probably will use my purple velvet. Going to do the long puffs down the middle of the sleeve, maybe not all the other sleeve puffs. Shoulder rolls with puffs. Little ruff/ruffy partlet. No trim, most likely, since the fabric is rather busy already. Maybe for coronation? I'm wearing my new black gown to 12th night and my gold florentine to solstice, so I have lots of time to do this one.
#2: French gown. Check out the spiral puffs on the sleeves! FIERCE. And I like the little cap sleeves with scallops, too. Maybe my blue silk taffeta, and then puff the shit out of the sleeves? Add tons of ouches and pearls as trim?
