New gown, of course!
Seeing as I'm not in the mood to discuss the lack of my progress on my Elizabethan coat, I'll talk about a forthcoming project.
I bought this perfect blue silk taffeta on Ebay last week. Over 12 yards for $98. Talk about a deal! Naturally it is calling to become an amazing new gown. The question is, which style?
I think it might finally be time for an Italian. But don't quote me on that! I'm not sure yet. I also like the French styles too. Maybe even Elizabethan. Here's some ideas:
The quintessential Eleanor of Toledo/Patterns of Fashion gown, which I've long admired:
Laurie Tavan's absolutely amazing gown (I only cropped her face out so she might not get mad for using her picture, but I kept the photo credit):
