In case all of you guys are confused, there's this K-drama that dearest kinbari360 introduced me to. It is called Mawang.
Or "The Devil." It has got to be one of the slowest-starting, but most captivating and utterly depressing drama that I have ever watched. Hell, it's the first K-drama that I've ever watched, but I doubt I'll ever find one as good as this. If you're the kind of person that's looking for action or sweet romance, this isn't a drama for you. If you're the person that only takes what the show gives you and never bother to read the undertones and let your mind put together all the pieces and spit out, "what if," then this is also not for you. Yes, it has cute and sweet moments. However, it does not focus on that because the whole series is about a "dead man" getting his revenge and how at the end, he realized he was wrong to focus on that feeling.
I guess it's much more depressing and heartbreaking for me because I can relate to little parts in it. It's hard to hate the two main characters [Oh Soo and Seung Ha] and take a side because the further into the series you go, they're practically the same and they're helpless to the world falling apart in front of their eyes.
But GOD the last episode killed me and as Kinbari said I'd do, I cried buckets of tears. Fuck damn it.
Now I have to freaking support Oh Soo/Seung Ha because DAMN, it's the most melancholy and hate-filled pairing there is right until the bitter end.
Watch it damn it.
