Ok.... so maybe not
Ok So I still am on my lunch break and I am not exactly updating when I have a ton of time to write my thoughts etc. Anyway, this weekend should be fun. Got a hold of Kat last night and will be seeing her tomorrow for dinner. Might even be stopping up at the Con to enjoy a little "Anime Karoke" (I've no idea how to spell that) and act like a little fan girl and see if I can get "Vash the Stampede" to sign my Trigun dvds... cuz I'm a nerd like that.
I'm so excited to go back to MA. I've no idea what will happen, who I'll see, but I have hopes. A break from life, from reality, a month of almost freedom. I need it. A part time job like I haven't had in years. Seeing people I've missed and haven't seen. Hope hope hope hope.
It's so odd, like being a stranger again.
Amy's coming back with me to MA for a few days. We're driving out on the 30th and will arrive on the 1st of December. We want to go to the Science Museum, take the trains, all that tourist stuff, cuz Amy is just that... a tourist for a bit. She's getting a vacation too. I think I'll take her up to Salem, show her where I used to go to school... down to the Cape, over the bridge... we'll take 3A like Sam and I used to. It will be fun. I'll be out of work come Nov. 23rd, so I think I'll go down to Ohio for a few days after the NERO event. I'll need to get more film for my camera... but I think I'll go down to 400 speed... see what I can do with that. And Brewster Park... defiantely going to Brewster Park. I hope that I can get the family together for Christmas. I imagine it will be nigh impossible... but it's been so long since I've seen everyone. I need a little family in my life I guess. Never thought I'd be the one to say that.
Side note of Joy.... I lost more weight. We've topped losing 40 lbs since moving to Ann Arbor in the middle of July. Just think.. .if I actually worked out or were active in any way other than NERO, I might be svelt by now... sadly, I am lazy and moderately unmotivated. That and I miss candy... being on a diet during Halloween sucks.
My new surcoat is nifty. I'm liking it. I even tailored the top by the arms and chest. It looks fitted. Nice and clean cut. I've still got to make Rob's pants... JOhn's pants.. and now Modlin wants pants too. I never thought the costuming I made would be in such demand. I keep thinking back to when all I could make were cloaks and tabards :) Now... crazy. I think my new fave sentence has become "so, kel, I hear you make some pretty sweet costuming" Hey, I get to be prideful about something right?
I should go now. I'm going to be late again.
