This will be a quick entry... something very sharp in my mind..
While in DC this weekend, I was laying in bed with Joy. No, not like that, We were on our own sides, She was texting, i was being woken up by the call of morning birds, the time was roughly 7 am. I felt the bed depress like a cat was getting into bed. I'm familiar with that feeling because my felines are often want to join me.
Anyway. I patted the bed a few times and Joy asked me "Dee, what are you doing?"
"Just inviting what ever it was to join us." I looked over my shoulder at her and shrugged.
"You felt that too?" she asked and I nodded. "I thought I was the only one.. What do you think it was?" "Ghost cat." she said quietly. "I've never felt anything like that before." Joy confessed.
"It happens in my house all the time. I've got Shadow trying to come into bed all the time" I told her. And she nodded.
Turns out, after talking to the owner of the house, a lovely Transman that he'd rescued a feline some while ago, and that the kitty had passed away due to melamine in the food. But the cat had come to that bed over and over to join him in bed. He was happy to know that the kitty, Ginger still visited women in bed. I asked if it was a torti cat and he nodded smiling, "You do see things, don't you" I just nodded. "Yes, it's a bit of a gift and an annoyance at times."
So there we have it, 2 independent feelings of the cat joining us, a visual of the ghost and a confirmation of the feline existing.
