Harry woke with a start, grabbing his attack wand and rolling out of bed, reflexes bending him into a defensive crouch on the floor. He couldn't hear anything, and stood up, moving silently from the room and into the hallway. Scorpius' bedroom door was open, and his bed empty. Moving down the hallway, Harry sprang into the living room with his wand raised, and found Scorpius lay on the floor by the door, nursing swollen red hands.
"What the hell did you do to my front door?" Scorpius screeched, standing up and waving his reddened hands at Harry.
Checking that there was no one in the kitchen, Harry jammed his wand into his pyjama bottoms and glared at Scorpius. "I warded it so that no one could get in and murder you in your sleep, however tempted I was to do just that when you woke me up with your snoring."
"I do not snore, and who the hell said you could ward my home?"
"The Ministry. If you wanted to leave, you should have said something."
"You were asleep, and I only wanted some milk from the shop!"
Harry rolled his eyes and stepped forwards, grabbing Scorpius' hands and healing them of the strong stinging charm they'd been subjected to. "You're lucky you didn't try and magically break the wards; I'd have been sending you home in a matchbox."
Scorpius huffed, snatching away his healed hands and storming into the kitchen. "I suppose I'll just have to have my coffee black."
"I'll have mine the same, with one sugar." Harry didn't really expect Scorpius to make him a coffee, so he was surprised when he entered the kitchen and there were two mugs waiting by the cafetiere. Harry watched Scorpius preparing the coffee, and was taken aback when he saw Scorpius stealing glances at his bare chest. Taking the cup Scorpius sugared, Harry sipped at it and tried not to think about the blush on Scorpius' cheeks. "I'll go and get dressed, and then we can go to your classes."
"You really need to accompany me to classes?"
"I really do."

Harry had never been so bored in his life. Scorpius was studying for a Charms Mastery, and divided his time between classes at the Ministry and an internship with a private Charm worker. Slumped in a Ministry chair at the back of the classroom, the dense Charmological Theory was going so far over Harry's head he worried he'd need to start clearing airspace.
When chairs started scraping around him, Harry snapped out of his dull reverie and stood up. "Malfoy, where are you going?"
"To the cafeteria for some coffee and some intelligent conversation."
Harry scowled, and ignored the giggles from Scorpius' little band of friends and admirers. "Fine. I'm going to check my inbox, and then I'll meet you there. And may Merlin help you if you try and blow me off, Scorpius."
Scorpius rolled his eyes but nodded, and Harry left him to the fawning masses as he made his way to the Magical Law Enforcement department, and some adult company for five minutes.
