Blubbering like an idiot
I must SHARE THIS WITH THE WORLD!!!! *booming voice* Christopher, my beloved friend and colleague, with whom I am DEEPLY IN LOVE, handed over his ancient dinosaur of a Canon SLR (it's 30 years old!!) for my use during college. I cannot believe he did that for me. It's the best present EVER!!!!! AHHH!! (Okay, he told me he was allowing me to borrow it indefinitely which basically means it's mine forever...right???) I must show the world some of the experimental pictures I took with this marvelous beast. (okay...I'll just show the select few that happen to know about my livejournal.....)
This is Erika, Stephanie's adorable sister, who is such a ham for the camera. I was so shocked when I got this roll of film developed. (Yes, I'm working with film....the camera is entirely manual, which means I'm going from easy digital snapshots to very meticulous adjustments on like a MILLION little dials. My brain is exploding from all the new technical functions I'm learning.) Anyway, I'm experimenting, and these pictures are just fantastic. Chris was like, "Yeah, it's a professional camera...from its time." Meaning, the stone age. ;) The stone age was technologically advanced for its era.
I'm happy. Very happy. I am going to have so much fun with this camera! WHEEE!! Screw digital. (My precious Nikon, I didn't mean it!) I'm going back to 35mm for a little while.
