I've just been to London for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, and I didn't really plan to go back anytime this year - but yesterday I bought me a ticket to the Doctor Who Festival on November 14, so back to London I go! :D
But this time I'm thinking I'll do a proper Whovian pilgrimage, and go to Cardiff as well.
Right now I'm thinking that I'll take a flight to London on the Tuesday, in the morning, and continue straight to Cardiff by train. Hotel prices in Cardiff seem to be pretty reasonable (at least in November), but I'm gonna do some looking around before I decide where to stay. I'm assuming some hotel close to the Bay will have me within walking distance of the Millennium Centre and the Doctor Who Experience, myes?
Anyway, I'm thinking three nights in Cardiff, and then back to London on the Friday. I'm going to the Festival on the Saturday, so I want to start the day by being in London already, so I don't have to rush. And then I'll fly back to Sweden on Sunday, cos flying back on Saturday night means rushing about and getting back late so neh, screw that.
And I've decided that I'm too old for yoof hostels, so I'll have to find some cheap hotel in London, too. But again, November isn't exactly high season, and it's only two nights, so I think that's doable.
In conclusion, yay travelling! And yay for already having fun things planned for the miserable month of November! And if anyone has any recommendations for hotels, or stuff to do in Cardiff, hit me up. :-)
