Virtuoso → Guild Roster
The eight factions of Soeldei represent many aspects of every city's substance. Each faction has three member levels, these being: initiate, associate, and adept. At the head of each faction is the guildmaster, and the eight guildmasters comprise the Soel Aulic which is the governmental body of Soeldei.

The Virtuoso are the true scholars of Soeldei, historians and teachers. The most educated of the factions, they crave knowledge of all varieties and often hold esteemed positions within the city. Its members have unfettered access to the great library of Soeldei and may even be called upon to inform the powerful Soel Aulic council in matters.

→ There are those who question whether or not the events of recent months are new, random occurrences or repeats of past events. It's up to you to find out, Virtuoso members! Double your study efforts, recheck books you have already used for reference, make note of anything suspicious or of interest. While the information gathered may be seemingly meaningless at present, such information could come in handy in the future.

→ As the most wise members of the Virtuoso know, the attack on the Apostello is cause for much concern. However, it is not our concern. Instead, continue on with your research into matters regarding the treasure. The identity of the man or woman who holds it is not important - it's what the treasure is. Surely, there must be documented records of it and what it is somewhere. Find it, Virtuoso!

→ Scholars of Soeldei, here is a matter of interest. This "treasure"... if it hasn't caught your attention from day one, surely it must have now? Ah, now you realize that it's not just some mark on a strange map - after all, why would a ruffian brag about it so much if it were but a piece of filth? Well, then! Search the library, talk to the island elders; just learn all that you can about this mysterious little treasure. Because it may not be so little, after all.

→ There has been an undeniable rise in lawlessness throughout the city, and the usual deterrents do not seem to be effective. It is thus the duty of the Virtuoso, as the legal representatives of the Council, to devise a suitable framework for crime and punishment. Stiffer penalties? Larger fines? Whatever is necessary to keep the harmony most prized in Soeldei. All ideas will be automatically submitted to the Council for consideration, so be brilliant and just.

→ Reports on the whereabouts of the treasure seem to lead all over the place. Collect as many reports as you can from the citizens of Soeldei, natives and new-comers alike, and try to see if there is any pattern to the locations to which people are claiming the map leads. Maybe if this is all analyzed, you’ll be able to find a way to track down the actual treasure.

→ There is only one thought on most people's minds these days, and that is of the pirates walking freely amongst them. Though guests to the town, many people are wary of these notorious villains. To promote a more peaceful understanding through knowledge, it is your duty as a member of the Virtuoso to learn what you can about the true nature of these pirates and share with the citizens of the city.

→ Which parts of the island were damaged and to what extent? Which areas were hit the hardest? It's up to you, Virtuoso members, to find this out! Do a survey of the island to find out the answers to these questions and others, gathering data on what was ruined beyond repair, what is salvageable, and what made it through the hurricane amazingly unscathed. This information will be vital to those involved in Soeldei's restoration efforts.

→ The time to take on the role of leader has come. The island is in chaos and in danger of having anarchy reign supreme in the face of this recent madness. In order to prevent this, the Virtuoso must meet and begin discussing what sort of laws need to be put into place in order to protect both the island's government and it's people during these most troubling of times.

→ The Virtuoso as the most learned of the city, take it upon themselves to spread the word of the celebration. Finely crafted invitations must be delivered to each house specifying the appropriate time and place, although many members choose to verbally entreat people's attendance, often stopping them in the streets. High turnout is a vital part of the celebration's success, so do your best to ensure it!

→ At a time when laws can seem more like they're limiting the citizens than protecting them, it is the pleasure of the Virtuoso to illuminate the true potential of the law to another citizen. Those who witness someone flaunting the code of the city should step in peacefully and convince them to mend their misguided actions using an educated approach. Remember the power of words over the use of unnecessary force.

→ Winter is actually the busiest time of year for the Virtuoso, who unlike the other factions pay very little attention to what goes on outside their libraries and offices. But they do compile their information and tallies for the year. They simply become more productive during this season with the lack of distractions often afforded by the other factions. Many legal precedings are held and things officiated such as weddings or new laws.
