Vijay Bowen's gone

http://file770.com/?p=19305 I caught the news last night from otherdeb in th style of the antique phone tree. This was sad and unexpected. We did not really connect to each other; we swam on opposite blocks, later opposite cities. She was a "friend" mainly because she was not an enemy. She was SMOF-ish and committted to serious fannish thoughts: I was a little too silly for her.  I had more to do with her in the mid 1980s when she went off dabbling in fannish politics in the early Lunarians meetings, and I had better things to do. She was also one third of one of the firstfunctioning  triads I'd ever heard of. She and Deb were closer, sharing imprompu writing sessions in Village Cafes and such. I'd next heard of her i the last decade when her significant other had his stroke. She passed on from an unsuccessful bout with cancer.

Trejaan shuf (The ordeal is over).

death, friends
