“Tell me! TELL ME!” Alice has been jumping up and down on my bed.
I can’t even blame her since I’ve been canceling all the breakfast meetings with her this week and hanging out with Edward all the time.
“His name is Edward, he looks like… there’s no word too describe his beauty,” I look down at the floor, “he’s interesting, sweet and all the other stuff but something is wrong, I just can’t get around what I feel is wrong with him.”
“What do you mean by ‘something is wrong’?”
“I don’t know I just have this feeling.”
And that was true, Edward was hiding something and my work with one of my patient was getting worse since Tanya’s fiancé hasn’t jump into the old track and doesn’t show home until late nights. I really don’t understand their relationships and today I have meeting with her. I hope everything is fine now since she hasn’t called me this morning.
Edward was going to pick me up soon and we will have some breakfast together and then I will have all day for few of my clients and then the Friday evening when I will sleep in my couch all night because I will be so drunk that my bed will be too far.
Alice didn’t listen to me when I told her to leave, she wanted to see Edward and I can’t blame her, again. Who wouldn’t want to meet him? I even think my mother would go crazy and leave Phil just to have a date with this hot guy. And then we heard a light knock on my main door and Alice jumped to open them.
“Hey!” she said but that didn’t sound like her, “Come… in!”
What’s the matter Alice? Lost your voice? I laughed silently as I got out of my bedroom. Alice insisted on dressing me since she had her feelings ‘hurt’ about my ignorance on her and I just agreed but now I felt like I did it on wrong time. Edward looked me up and down before looking at my face, somehow for few seconds longer he looked a little bit lower than my neck, yeah Alice will die if my client will look at me like he looks at me right now.
“You look beautiful,” he finally said something I believe he forgot that Alice is here since he just came to me and hugged and then gave one of those long kisses with passion. And I thought that in one week together we wouldn’t get this far but I was wrong, he looked at me and smiles, “Ready to go?”
“Yes, I have lot to do today,” I sighed and showed Alice out of my apartment, she waved goodbye before disappearing away. “My client is driving me insane, I can’t even talk about this but I’m afraid I’ll have to send her to shrink.”
“That’s bad honey but I’ll make you happy today after work, okay?”
“What have you planned?” I asked suspicious.
“Nothing big, it’s surprise!”
“I hate surprises!”
He laughed and we went outside of my apartment. He was still laughing only a little bit quieter when we approach his Volvo. And then the laughing got quiet like someone has pressed ‘mute’ button.
“My parents will be in town this weekend,” he said looking at me.
“And?” really this man was sometimes afraid of something and I know that he was saying the rest stuff in his head to see if my expression would help him get to the right track.
“What would you think about nice dinner with them?”
I looked at him shocked, “Edward, I would like to but I’m not sure why you would want that or like that. I work as a relationship consultant and man doesn’t introduce his friend to his parents just like that. I don’t even understand if you like me.” God, Isabella why couldn’t you just shut up after ‘I’m not sure’?
“Bella, I like you very much, I know it’s been only a week but I fucking love you,” he looked shocked at what he just said.
“What?”
“Ok, here’s the thing. I didn’t ask you out just because I was sorry,” wow that’s surprise, “I asked you out because when I touched you I felt something and when we started to talk and all the other things, it just feels right and I don’t know why I’m not on my knee now.”
“You’re joking about the last part, right?” I laughed a little bit.
“Maybe, maybe not. I’m not sure about the last part but I am sure about the other things I said,” We were in the parking lot and he turned again to me, “Can I kiss you?”
Well, I’m dieing here to get your lips on me and you’re asking it? “Yes.” I don’t think he felt the happy tone of my voice but I was jumping inside me because Edward felt the same way about me how I felt about him.
He kissed me softly and then leaned away, “Will you come to dinner with me and my parents?”
“I have to admit, I am afraid of your parents,” I smiled and then he kissed me again and I felt like jumping out of my body.
We were sitting and eating and talking when my phone started to ring.
“I’ll kill this woman!” I whispered mostly to myself but Edward looked at me and I could see that he tried not to laugh. I sighed and answered the call.
“Isabella Swan listening.”
“It’s Tanya Denali, Miss Swan I have problem,” she sounded a little bit stressed.
“Yes, I see you have problem but we have meeting in about hour and we will talk then right?”
“Miss Swan you don’t understand, my fiancé is cheating on me,” she started to cry.
“Now, now listen to me, he’s not cheating on you, I believe everything is fine, I have business meeting now, we will talk about your problems in our arranged time. I have to go now, take care!” I ended the call not even waiting for her response.
I looked at Edward and rolled my eyes.
“Who was that?” he asked a little bit concerned.
“Crazy woman who thinks her fiancé who isn’t really her fiancé since he hasn’t asked her to marry him is cheating on her,” I sighed, “I believe I will have to talk with them both or that woman will kill me or I’ll kill her.”
Edward looked into my eyes and smiles, “None will kill you because I’ll be around to protect you.” He leaned closer and kissed me.
“Okay, I believe we have to go now, I have a patient in half hour and I have to do some research for my psych patient.” It felt easier to talk with Edward about this because he smiled and laughed and that made my mood a little bit better. I know I was disrespecting the rules between doctor and patient but I didn’t say their names.
