I’m not usually surprised that a man who has my phone number doesn’t call the time he has promised or doesn’t call anyway. It mostly surprise me that someone really calls and that makes me just smile since I know that a man did like me. However that doesn’t happen more than not calling back thing. I wasn’t surprised that the man called Edward didn’t call later that day.
I woke up with my morning routine - call from Tanya. I don’t even look at the phone as I answer it.
“Hello?” I ask, not even sure why I just don’t start this morning call with “Hello Miss Denali, is there any problem?”
“Bella,” there’s a velvet voice on the other side of the phone. That’s not Tanya if she hasn’t changed into a man and all the crap but even as crazy she is she wouldn’t do that.
“Yeah?” OK, this girl had too much sleep last night.
“It’s Edward; I was wondering maybe I could ask you out for a breakfast.”
“Ugh,” I sigh, “Sure that’s sounds good.”
“I’ll pick you up from your place, can you text me the address?”
“Sure but I won’t have much time, it’s now 7 am and that means I have time until 8.”
“That will be fine,” I could feel his smile, “Text me your address and I’ll be there in like 10 minutes.” He ends the call not waiting for my reply.
10 minutes later as he promised there’s a light knock on my apartment doors and I’m on my phone talking with Tanya, again. This morning she said something new, she thinks her fiancé is cheating on her. No surprise!
“Calm down Tanya, maybe you just feel like that,” I go to my apartment main door and open them, gesturing Edward in.
“Maybe I should talk about that with him,” Tanya is crying.
“No, maybe you’re wrong, that doesn’t mean anything,” I sigh.
“Yes, maybe you’re right but I’m afraid he will leave me! Can we meet today?”
“Ok, I will arrange meeting with you today if that would help you somehow?” let me die or run away from this crazy woman!
“Yes!”
“Ok, I’ll send you message about time when I can talk with you and please, no running in my office today in wrong time, you’re not the only client I have,” I try to sound calm but this won’t work, “Ok, I have to go, I’ll see you later and don’t do anything crazy!” I end the call and turn to Edward who’s looking at me with a smile on his lips.
“Sorry,” I sigh, “I have one of the worst clients ever.”
“It’s OK, ready to go?”
“Yes,” I take my bag.
Breakfast with Edward was one of the best things I had ever experienced. We were laughing and talking and it kind of seemed right to be around him. There was this feeling like I need him around me and when it was time for me to leave to catch up with Alice I didn’t want to go and it looked like Edward didn’t want to leave too. It all ended quit interesting, I texted Alice that I met someone and won’t have chance to see her and I had another hour to be with Edward. As my phone started to ring I knew that was the time to say goodbye but Edward walked me to my office building and kissed my cheek for goodbye, the last thing what he said was something about calling later and something about this evening but was too dazzled about the little kiss.
The day was without any problems but I knew that I have to make plans with Tanya and that was something what I didn’t want to do but I had to at least call her.
“Hello?” god, she’s crying.
“Hello Miss Denali, this is Isabella Swan,” I say as much kindly as I can.
“Can I have the meeting now?”
“No, I’m sorry; I couldn’t arrange you for today.”
“Then why are you calling?”
Don’t be rude bitch! “I’m calling to ask you how you feel.”
“Not so good, my fiancé hasn’t come back to our place since the morning.”
“Maybe he has a lot to do or what. Please, Tanya, calm down and stop crying it won’t do anything good. Forget about that stupid idea about him cheating on you because you are the best woman in the world and he would never do that to you because he would never find someone better than you,” if big boobs and look would be the only things man would look for the future.
This is the problem, we call her boyfriend mostly fiancé since Tanya is crazy to be with him forever but this guy never had asked her to marry him and that means that if she won’t change her attitude then the weddings will never come and she will be alone for few hours before some idiot will try to get her to him.
“OK, I’ll try, thank you!” Tanya says and ends the call. Sometimes I feel sorry for the guy what she’s dating because he will really need a shrink soon if this woman won’t change herself.
I was daydreaming since my last patient was off and I didn’t want to leave this place since it was quiet here and the peace was so good. Tanya came into my office and looked around.
“Bella, you have a visitor,” she nearly sang that ‘you have a visitor’ part.
“OK, let the visitor in,” please let it be someone else, anyone than Tanya Denali.
“Hello beautiful,” velvet voice. That’s Edward!
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
“I was bored, thinking about you and so I had to have a chance on finding you.”
“That was sweet.”
“Would you like to go somewhere with me? Maybe around the city?”
“Sure, I just have to take my stuff,” I stand up and take my bag, throwing in my wallet, keys and phone.
When I finally am ready to go I look at Victoria who’s showing me approving smile and I smile back. We are finally out of the building when I spot a Volvo and we are heading to it.
“With car?” I asked.
“Yeah, I heard that after a long work day it’s not healthy for beautiful ladies to walk around.”
He helps me get in and then we drive away.
