I am doing things I promise! Last couple of weeks at school were a shit show and I am still recovering. But I am starting a cool meme, as stolen from mis__shape who stole is from two other people. I'm gonna start off with the first five, and the do as much as I can every couple of days.
I have many thoughts about a lot of different things and I want to write them all down promise.
day 01 - your favourite song: Lust for Life - Girls
This changes so often, but I'd be a fucking liar if I said this song doesn't have complete control over me. It can calm me down, it can bring me to tears, it can make me feel so in love, it can make me feel so alone. It's everything I want from a bit of pop music, and even if Girls are hella trendy I still feel like they're mine all mine.
day 02 - your least favourite song: Spadina Bus - Shuffle Demons
THREE SAXOPHONES. As if everything else in this song - those dudes beards, the white person rapping, the one guy in a dress - isn't irritating enough, THREE FUCKING SAXOPHONES. THREE OF THEM? Is that even neccessary? This song is The Worst.
day 03 - a song that makes you happy: Fairytale - Alexander Rybak
Just look at his smile! Even if the lyrics are melodramatic and supposed to be about heartache, this song brightens my day. I can't be unhappy listening to it, or especially watching him play it. His face :DDDDDD
day 04 - a song that makes you sad: Oceanographer's Choice - The Mountain Goats
Most sad songs I can handle. I mean, I'm not only a fan of the Smiths and Morrisey, but of select Cure songs and every single thing Conor Oberst has ever written. Plain old misery, I get that. This song is about being in the place past that, and watching yourself go to that place, and not even wanting to stop. And it's so chilling and I can't listen to it too often.
day 05 - a song that reminds you of someone: Pale Blue Eyes - The Velvet Underground
Thought of you as my mountain top,

Thought of you as everything,
I've had but couldn't keep.
I honestly don't want this song to remind me of the person it reminds me of anymore. But I can't help it. He got me pretty fucking bad. Like, so bad that you know you'd be happier if they weren't in your life but you are still just in love enough to ignore that warning and then every time they do something that is a non-issue like their girlfriend comments on their facebook wall, or they forget to text you back you start to feel like an utterly worthless waste of space, and you hate that they have so much control over you and then you start to second guess your attraction to other people, like you might just be that lonely that you'll take anyone that reminds you even a little of him.
I am actually at the stage where I can listen to this song and not feel that way but sometimes it's four in the morning and I go to that place and I kind of hate it because he is a total jerk, and why the fuck did I ever make him a mix CD let alone but such a fucking good song on it? He probably doesn't even listen to it.
