Baby Bob Possum is growing like a weed! So far he still seems to be in very good health, and his favorite foods include grapes, chicken, yoghurt, and scrambled eggs. I wanted to find an interesting backdrop for his latest photo portrait, and decided to use my cat, Timmy.
Timmy's got gorgeous blue eyes:
which he kept shut or turned away from the camera in every damn shot with Bob.
(Bob doesn't have mange, by the way; opossum coats are naturally kind of thin. He'd just crawled out from under a pillow and it rubbed some parts in his fur.)
Timmy's foot is bandaged because he's got an infected toenail, and his idea of fixing the toe is to try to chew it off.
"Hmm...if memory serves me correctly, there should be a pouch opening right about here..."
"Oh, well...PIGGYBACK SNUGGLES!"

It's a deadpan "how to" demonstration in which a smiling lady shows us how to give a full-grown opossum a pedicure and nail painting. The demo possum's lack of any kind of reaction is hilarious, and there's links from that video to a whole series of "possum care" vids! XD
