I just received the dreaded JURY SUMMONS and of course, I do not want to go.
Yes, some people need to go and most should go.
Obviously, I lose MONEY If I have to miss "work", but more importantly, as a LAWYER, I will never be put on a jury anyway, so it's a waste of time.
And of course, I suffer from herniated discs and can't sit for long.
Ignore the fact that I dramatically deleted my Ell Jay for a month or two . Someone must still read. I NEED ADVICE.
What's my best option to be EXCUSED for one of the above or should I attempt to POSTPONE and/or TRANSFER (to my favorite courthouse that I appear at almost daily)?
Anyone have any experience with getting out of jury duty in LA?
"Breast feeding a child will qualify for postponement of service".
