Well, September sure has dealt me some interesting cards. Its exit gift to me was an elbow fracture yesterday at my softball game. Nice little trip-then-a-flip with a crash landing on my twisted arm. I'm in a splint and a sling for at least a couple of weeks, and probably can't drive for a few days. You don't realize how many things you need both of your hands for until you can't use one of them at all. The good news is that it's my left arm. Could be worse. However, I feel extremely grateful. All of my friends (and even simple acquaintances) have continuously offered to help in one way or another. I have a hard time accepting help and making people go out of their way, but it's when I'm forced to accept it because there's no way around it that I realize how blessed I am to have such kind people in my life. More frustrating than the pain is the fact that I can't do much on my own right now. Alot of people are offering to bring me soup. I don't want soup, I want vegetable lasagna and ice cream. Let's see who can make it happen :)
