So much to post and ZERO time to do it in.
I have so much to say for the first time in awhile and no time to get it posted. Work is my only chance to get something out so I'm going to post the bullet points as the NEW Legion of Doom is still without internetz OR TV for one more night... it's pathetic how much we rely on the magic boxes!
-The Move:
Went very smooth as we had a ton of help, unlike the horror of the last one. We still have plenty of stuff over there, clothes, nick-nacks and stuff but the bulk of things and the hard stuff is DONE! After the last few items all we have left is to clean the place and hopefully get our deposit back!
-The new place:
IS AMAZING :) It already feels like home more than the old place did. In fact that place never did period. We had moved from my first place which the owner of was foreclosed on to the place we have been for just over a year and it always felt like a temporary thing. It was even in the same complex as the original and the exact same floor plan but it was just... different. No where near as nice in the construction quality and location it just never felt "right." Worse yet that complex has really gone to shit in terms of the people living there over the past year. Our neighbors, the "white trash family" were actually making a drug deal on their patio while Minx and I moved boxes out of the old place Friday night.... sigh.
The new place? ...our next door neighbors our Sox fans! ;P
All kidding aside the place really is wonderful. Our old place felt like a glorified apartment, this feels like a a house. Two stories, three bedrooms including Minx and I's master which is HUGE, 2.5 bath, two separate garages which is nice because my uncle can take one and we'll take the other, granite counter tops in the kitchen and to top it all off a back yard that is the bigger than our old kitchen, living room and dinning area combined! Lets hope all the extra space will make living with my uncle a little easier until we can move on with out him.
Minx and I are so excited to have company now! Hopefully we can have a house warming party or a Super Bowl party in the near future! To bad it's not the kind of party we WANT to have! >;P
-Visit with Mutedepiphany:
My oldest friend Jessica was in town on the wrong weekend to spend time with us. Still we got to see her a bunch and that was just fine by me! Jessica is the only person from High School I still talk to or ever want to talk to, to give you an idea about Jessica: imagine me in female form and you've just about got it. We've always been two peas in a pod together and probably the closest thing to a sister I have ever had.
Then a few years ago I found out she was kinky of all things! Yet she never delved into it deeper and was in a vanilla relationship as well. Now that that is over with she has dived in head first and Friday night we finally got to sit down and have a real discussion about it! It's still bizarre (in a really cool way) to talk to her, someone who has been a part of my life for so long on the vanilla side of things, about the things we discussed, to share my LJ with her or to see her on Fetlife.
To bad we couldn't take her the the Lair for her first big trip out this weekend but her and her new beau are here in March so hopefully we can get it done then!
Last night she came back over for one final visit before she headed north for home and as always we had a blast just being around each other. Best yet her and the Minx get along as well as Jessica and I do, the three of us make quite a pair! I hope I get to introduce you all to her someday, especially MissInara! You guys would get along so well!
-More Sickness
The Minx is sick... AGAIN! :( Honestly I don't think the first or the second thing ever really went away and whatever infection she has just won't die. It looks like she might have some sort of infection in her throat... it remains to be seen but hopefully she can get into the Doctors tomorrow.
ARGH! I have so much more to say but it's time to get out of the hell that work has been today and go home to my wonderful wife, hopefully feeling better! I'm so tired and sore... and not for fun reasons either!
