So I've mentioned it before, but I've had people tell me that I should look into voice over work in the past. I've always thought it would be a fun side-job kinda thing, but it always seemed like such a daunting task, diving into a field where there's just SO MUCH competition.

chidorichan recently did some readings for a company, though, and let me know ( Read more... )

Even if it doesn't pan out, at least I can say I tried, right?
Absolutely. And having listened, I'd say you've got a shot. Good natural talent and youthful quality.

Aww, thanks! I used my "customer service" tone that I usually take when talking to customers at work...I was going for something friendly but kinda professional. I'm looking forward to hearing what they think. :D

Well that's pretty cool! :O They do a lot of anime dubbing in Vancouver, I don't know how the studio I work at hires their voice actors (the recording studio is in the same building), let me know if you would ever want to send your demo up this way! & if you have any idea's for a short thing, I could animate it (very short though, I don't have a good work ethic when I'm at home ><).

Heehee, aww~! It wouldn't actually be acting, it'd be more like...reading an instructional thing, really. But I wouldn't mind trying my hand at acting or something. If you ever have a thing you wanna animate and you need something, I wouldn't mind trying at all. XD

Oh yeah, I guess there's a difference. XD

I'll try to think of something, I'm not good at writing, but it would be fun!! ^^

Eeeee! Good luck! I've always wanted to do something like that - and I used to have a realy good voice - but between the allergies and the damage and the trouble I've been having even breathing lately, I don't think I could cut it anymore. :/

Aww, that's a shame...you never know, though, you could always give it a shot. It's never too late to try!

I hope they want to work with you! They've been very nice and accommodating and your sample was awesome (yeah, it is a little nerve-wracking to sit down and do it, but it's fun once you get over the nervousness, ne?), so I'd say you have a good shot! :) I am sorry if it doesn't work out and it got your hopes up... ;-; The only reason they picked me was a total fluke to begin with! (I still actually haven't recorded anything but the sample for them, though... They're taking a while with the scripts, but said it should be finished soon!)

Oh, did I ever tell you what it was? XD It's some multimedia presentation recording. They sell business software. Like I said, they're based in Turkey and do international business and I think they just want American voiceovers to seem more "universal."

Aww, no! It's not your fault if it doesn't pan out or anything. XD Heh, I think it might actually be a good idea for me to try a little more seriously to do stuff like this, so this'll be good practice, at least!

That's cool...hey, I'm not picky who wants to work with me, lol. XD

Good luck! It's the weekend, so that may be why you've yet to hear from him/her.
