So I've mentioned it before, but I've had people tell me that I should look into voice over work in the past. I've always thought it would be a fun side-job kinda thing, but it always seemed like such a daunting task, diving into a field where there's just SO MUCH competition.
chidorichan recently did some readings for a company, though, and let me know that they were looking for someone to read about 2 hours worth of dialog. And if I wanted to give it a shot, I could send her a clip she could pass along to them.
So I figured, why not? The worst they could do is say no. And it's not like it's for a big name or anything. And hey--if it works out, it's something I could put in a resume! So I recorded a voice post and sent along the MP3 to her. If you want to hear it, it's in my previous LJ post
HERE.
I just read a flier on the ESRB that came with a PS2 game. I figured that was good enough. I've never recorded a demo thing before, so I was kinda nervous. ^^;; I hope that sounds ok. If they like it and want me to do their reading, I'm obviously gonna hook up a mic and do something with better sound quality. But I wanted to get this done as quick as possible to send it to 'em, hence the voice post sample.
So...yeah! I'm kind of excited about that. Even if it doesn't pan out, at least I can say I tried, right?
