I have to admit, I was kind of in a jittery half teary eyes bliss while watching it, it just brought back all the original feerings of OMG SAILORMOON OMG xD
I liked it a lot, the opening... I was a little disappointed about the music change though because I really love, and always will love the original music [I get it's a reboot and they needed to switch things up, but I did mourn the loss of the old opening musics a bit since it's iconic in its way] -I love all the manga touches - like the manga broach, the hangy thing on her tiara, even Mamoru's broken pocket watch locket, etc.
Oh god though, when Mamoru appeared in that dumb ass tuxedo, I was instantly STAB HIM IN THE EYEEEEEEE -forgot how much I really don't like him -haha. But overall I love it and I hope that people will support it by watching on Hulu [since from what I've been told, Hulu is actually keeping count of the over seas viewers to find out just how much interest there is overall] -I'd love to see all five seasons done eventually, and can you imagine a redo of the movies? I'd be in total old school animation heaven, I tell you what ^^
Yeah I was surprised they didn't go with Moonlight Densetsu, esp. after going through all the trouble to record a version done by the group that's doing the SMC opening! XD But it's slowly growing on me, I like that it blatantly has girl-power-y lyrics like "we're not weak women who need a prince to save us", I think that's awesome. And YEAH THE WATCH/LOCKET!! I noticed it right away and ways like EEEEEEEEE!! X3
Haha, well I know not everyone likes Mamoru...that's cool. ;D Yeah, Hulu and Viz.com are keeping count of the views to see if there's enough interest to release it physically when the time comes, so it's really important to watch the officially sanctioned streaming sites and not shitty illegal ones that would probably give your computer a virus anyway ;P lol.
I teared up a little, too, just because it's just like OH MAN, SO MANY STRONG FEELINGS ABOUT SAILOR MOON ;__; Haha, you totally understand. XD
Out of all the movies, I think the only one they'd re-do would be the S movie since that was actually based on a manga short story...since this is supposed to be an adaptation of the manga strictly this time. I'm kinda crossing my fingers for a Sailor V movie or OVA or something, really, I think that'd be totally awesome!! But yeah, I hope they're able to do more seasons after this with ALL the manga story, that would be AMAZINGGGGG~
