Another project?
Yup.
This Summer & Fall, I'll be helping Zack work on one of the shorts from Robot Carnival. Here's a trailer he made last night:
If you're not familiar with Robot Carnival, it's similar to Memories or Disney's Fantasia--it's a movie, but it's several short animated stories shown together, anthology-style. In Robot Carnival, all the shorts have a theme of "robots" (SHOCK!), but other than that, they're all different. The short Zack wants to do first is "Presence", if you're familiar with the work. Zack mentioned wanting to possibly do another one of the shorts eventually...but we're focusing on this one first.
(And we'll be holding auditions for various parts...Zack said that with such an ambitious project, he didn't want to limit it to just him & me. So once he's ready to start looking for people, I'll be sure to post a link/info, in case anyone's interested. Zack's already told me he wants me to do 2 parts for sure, but there'll still be tons of other parts in the various shorts.)
I'm excited to get to work on this because the role I'll be doing is a lot more serious than the stuff I have been doing, so it'll be a new challenge. :D
Although this really makes me wish someone would re-release this movie here on DVD...with a new dub, too. I recall the Streamline dub not being all that great. XD
