If you had to spend one year alone with one other person, who would you want that person to be?
Hands down my brother. We're two halves of a whole; the dynamic everything that means being Bercu.
And if not him.... well. There's someone else I know who I already know I would not go mad in their company.
What's a question that many people are afraid to ask themselves?
Am I happy? What do I want?
I think a lot of people are afraid to be happy. Sometimes you have to work at something, to be happy and laziness gets in the way. Or at least, you try to kid yourself that you're happy. In the same vein, people often don't know what they want, and that gets in the way of so much.
In one word, what are you hoping for?
Peace.
I'm so tired of these buzzing thoughts about everything. It'd be nice if it were just quiet up there for a little while.
In one word, what's your biggest concern at the moment?
Grad school.
For the first ever, I found something I would actually...maybe...enjoy (in a masochistic kind of way) going to grad school for.
I really want to get in.
My GPA isn't the best courtesy of my ex-major but... It's so much better than it was. And it's only going to get better.
What's something you wish you saw more of?
Reciprocity.
Maybe it would be nice if people could reciprocate every now and again.
What's something that many people fear that doesn't scare you at all?
Instability.
My world is pretty much based around it. I've moved so many times, changed friends, and went through so many roller coasters. I changed my major.
I'm not afraid of a little instability, if it means that I can get closer to what I want.
Grad school.
Bring it.
What item do you most often misplace?
My ID card.
Life is wasted without?
Curiosity. Ambition.
What makes you different?
The way I see the world, I suppose. The way I interact with people. The way I speak, especially.
I've been told many times by many different people that I have a weird way of viewing things.
Seems like a compliment in my book.
What's something that you enjoy making or building from scratch?
Most things artistic. I like drawings. I like carving.
If you could add an extra hour to your day, how would you spend it?
Lying on a field, watching clouds go by.
What do you wish you did more of on a regular basis?
Spent more time with my brother.
In what way are you a survivor?
In my patience to wait out the storm. In my ability to just tough it out, and having this determination that I will make it better, if it doesn't work out on its own.
When it's worth it, I don't give up. I really don't give up.
I am a survivor in that I choose the path that holds the least regrets. Or at least, I try to.
What's the one piece of advice you would give to a teenager?
You're doing pretty good there. It's okay you know, what you're feeling? It's completely normal, and valid and perfectly okay. There's *nothing* wrong with wanting to kiss her.
Be brave.
