Chapter 5

Jaejoong woke up in alert, his eyes wide open as he clenched the blankets tight on the side. He unclenched the blanket slowly as he tried to breathe slow deep breaths. He had dreamed again…of him and Yunho. Of their past.

He always woke up when it came to the point Yunho said goodbye although it never happened, the night the 4 packed and left their dorm in Japan.

“Hyung,” Junsu’s voice called from the darkness.

Jaejoong doesn’t answer him but concentrated on the ceiling as he tries to regain his ability to breathe.

“Su…” Jaejoong hears Yoochun leading the youngest out of the room.

When his fists had completely let go of the blanket, Jaejoong placed one hand over his heart and tried to feel his heartbeat.

He doesn’t feel it.

“Yunho-yah…” he whispers into the air.

He knows nothing will respond, but he hopes for that millisecond anyway. He slowly gets up and looks down at the floor, wondering where it was that his legs wanted to go.

He finds himself walking to the table and picking up his song book. Flipping to the page with scarce, incompletely lyrics, he picks up a pen and writes another line.

My heart feels hot and I keep running and tearing up.

He was about to close the book but decides to add in another few words.

What should I do?

He whispers and writes at the same time.

Yunho finds himself at the dance studio again, at 3a.m. repeating the same steps for Maximum. Finally burned out, he falls to the ground, laying there panting, trying to catch his breath.

His body feels so worn out, so dead, so abused.

He lifts his right hand and places it at his heart.

“Can you feel my heartbeat?” He tiredly sang the line from 2PM’s song.

“If I die like this… would anyone find me?” Yunho thought as he felt like he was about to black out. He chuckled at his own rhetorical question, of course someone was going to find him, he’s in side SM, right in the middle of the dance studio. But he knew the question was really about Jaejoong finding him.

“I want Jaejoong to find me first,” he thought as he fell out of consciousness.

He woke up on his bed, weirdly, with Heechul’s face hovered over his.

He blinked slowly and gritted out, “Next time your face is less than 5 inches away from me, you’re going to need some hardcore surgery.”

Heechul immediately sprang away in automatic defensive to his perfect face.

“How can you say that to me? If I didn’t find you this morning, you would’ve probably died from dehydration by now!” Heechun snarled.

“Shut up Heechul, I found him.” Leeteuk snorted. Yunho looked around his room and saw most of Super Junior occupying the space. His eyes softened as it landed on his dongsaeng who was walking into the room with a bowl of soup.

“Hyung! You’re awake!” Changmin exclaimed happily. Yunho could tell that the maknae had been really worried.

“I’m fine, Min.” Yunho smiled. He felt great having so much sleep despite the fact it was a result of him falling unconscious.

Changmin placed the soup on the side table and hovered over the bed, his expression turning hard and serious.

“Hyung, we talked this over and…” Changmin shuffled his feet a bit, hesitating to continue.

“Who’s we?” Yunho intercepted. Although he can already guess who the ‘we’ was.

“Me and Super Junior hyungs,” Changmin answered guiltily. He felt as if he had conspired against his leader or something.

“…and what about me?” Yunho urged Changmin to continue his initial statement.

“We think you should go see a therapist.”

“Hyung,” Junsu said, holding out a cup of hot tea to the tired Jaejoong.

Jaejoong had woke up that morning with his stomache growling in an unearthly tone and he had wondered when was the last time he had eaten.

He took the mug from Junsu’s hand and took a sip.

Jasmine Green Tea.

It was his and Yunho’s favorite. A small smile formed on his lips as he remembered the first time he had drank this type of tea. How he was so reluctant to try because he was never fond of tea in the first place.

Yunho had brought back the tea from Gwangju and practically forced it down the poor lead singer’s throat.

Jaejoong sat by the window idily as he watched the leaves fall from the tree outside their dowm.

His hands subsconsciously touched his lips and he still felt the reminent of the kiss the leader had left on it before disappearing to Gwangju for a week.

His eyes stared at a specific piece of falling leaf as he thought bitterly about the situation at hand.

Yunho was having the time of his life at his hometown, probably meeting up with his childhood noona crush, while Jaejoong was stuck in the dorm having wet dreams of Yunho everything. All ignited from that stupid drunk kiss.

He heard the front door open and immediately looked over. His breath hitched at the sight of the run-away leader, with a smile on his face and hands full of bags.

“Jaejoongie!” Yunho called him over, lifting some of his grocery bags to motion him to go over and help.

Jaejoong gawked at the happy man who acted as if he hadn’t ran away and that everything was back to normal. He furiously looked away and stared out the window as if he hadn’t even seen the man come in.

“Yah! Come! I have stuff for you!” Yunho called from the kitchen.

Jaejoong pouted and got off the ledge of the window, stomping toward the kitchen. He had never been able to keep away from presents. Ever.

He raised an eyebrow at the things Yunho were taking out of the plastic bags, which turned out to be all herbs and crap.

“This is the stuff you have for me?” Jaejoong asked deadpanned. Yunho must’ve really had the time of his life if he had forgotten that Jaejoong was nowhere near the healthy type.

“Yes, what’s with the face?” Yunho chuckled. “Yoochun texted me and told me you were coughing recently, and I don’t want my lead singer sick, so I got you these.”

“You answered Yoochun’s texts but not mine?” Jaejoong immediately asked, finding the thoughtfulness and care the leader put into buying the herbs completely irrelevant.

Yunho’s smile died down as he struggled to come up with a reasonable explanation, although the reason was not reasonable at all. “There was no service a lot… but when there was, Yoochun texts me at the exact moment. What can I say? The guy has good timing.”

“Good timing?” Jaejoong’s eyes widened at the fact that Yunho thinks anything he said sounded remotely logical. “I texted you 20 times a day Yunho. Sometimes even 30! Are you telling me that somehow not even one of them was sent at the ‘exact moment’?”

Yunho stopped unpacking the grocery bags and looked at Jaejoong in the eyes, looking plain tired and vulnerable. “If I wanted to speak to you, I wouldn’t have left in the first place.”

Although it was something Jaejoong had already known, to hear it coming from Yunho’s mouth made it seem a million times harsher and sounds completely unfair.

“I didn’t even do anything wrong!” He yelled, surprising Yunho who took a step back from the kitchen table.

“I know…” Yunho held up a hand trying to calm the other man who was near tears, “But you…”

“It was YOU!” Jaejoong snarled as his tears began to slip out. “You kissed me! Why am I the one that’s being ignored and treated this way!”

“God, don't cry baby,” Yunho pleaded as he hurriedly went around the table to get to him. His hands held the lead singer’s face as his thumbs wiped away the tears.

“You didn’t let me finish…what I wanted to say was BUT YOU made me so confused. I don’t know why I did what I did Jaejoongie. I just really missed you… and I really wanted to touch you…and I really couldn’t stop myself from feeling what I was feeling.” Yunho rambled on desperately, wanting the other man to understand.

“But you made me just as confused!” Jaejoong shook his head trying to get Yunho’s hands off him. “…and then you left me.”

“I needed to be unconfused… if that’s even a word,” Yunho re-attempted to lay his hands on Jaejoong. He decided to wrap his arm around the lead singer’s waist and pulled him until there was barely any space between their noses.

“And how’d that work out?” Jaejoong asked softly. Yunho could feel the other man’s breath enter his mouth, and he had an urge to make sure it stays that way forever.

“All I did was miss your kimchi chigae,” Yunho confessed in a husky voice. “Among other things I didn’t finish having a taste of.”

Jaejoong’s tongue slipped out, licking his bottom lip. Before his tongue had time to slip back in, Yunho’s barged in with it.

Their tongues mingled and Jaejoong’s mind went blank as his body seemed to move on its own. His hands glided up and down the leader’s hard abs as he felt a pair violate his ass. He moaned into the other man’s mouth, unable to locate where the pleasure is actually coming from.

It was like this.

This was how it felt.

To be spellbound.
