Wow
Dear Diary,
I figure I should start journal entries with "Dear Diary" as it is the traditional way to start an entry. I realise I am not traditional at all and therefore do not need to conform to traditions, but as far as linguistics go I am pretty traditional so there.
I am currently sitting in my room at university, alone. It is the... third (?) day of fresher's week and i am sitting alone on my bed with a book I have read several times before, my laptop and a very silent phone. Yes, university is ever so exciting. I'm meeting new people everyday, and making lots of friends! And I've drunk the entire country dry.
Okay, there's a bit of sarcasm there. But I did make some friends. And i have had quite a bit to drink. I just don't like the whole going-to-clubs-and-drinking-the-night-away thing. I'm no social butterfly. I quite like sitting around with a group of people and chatting. But anyway, I feel very bored right now. I can't wait to go to the gay pub crawl next Wednesday, at least I will meet some gay people and have something in common with them. There are so many straight people here. I swear it's unnatural.
I miss Alice. And my bed is hard.
