Dollhouse
I have of late really gotten into this show. To anyone who does not watch it, please start it is a great show and they have found some truly talented actors. Which brings me to this point: VIctor has so become my favorite doll. Enver plays him to perfection. He is the sweetest doll and his childlike behavior just makes me want to give him a hug. When he was Roger, it was different from the NSA agent, the horse buyer, and Lubov. Each different imprint is truly a different person. I know that it is supposed to be but sometimes I feel that Echo is just Echo pretending to be someone else.
Though I must say Sierra and November are great dolls as well. Sierra is such a tragic doll from how she was put in there to what has happened to her when she arrived. November is just makes my heart hurt, she came to the Dollhouse because her daughter died and then as Mellie she gets her heart broken. The poor girl just cannot catch a break.
Dr. Saunders/Whiskey is becoming just a totally fascinating character. At times I don't know how to feel about her and the best part is I don't think she does either. It must be a completely surreal experience to feel like you are separate and from these dolls and come to the startling fact that you are one. That your body is not really your body and you are not really you. And then when she told Topher she did want to die and I realized that when they wipe the imprints in a way they are "killing" that person. Her need to escape the place that has recently become her prison is very understandable and if I was her I would have left too.
Which brings me to the Dollhouse staff. Boyd and Adelle are undoubtedly awesome. Boyd is loyal and protective of Echo and has a good head on his shoulders. Adelle is the HBIC but her heart is in the right place. She also has a soft spot for Victor and Topher, in completely different ways but I love her for her need to mother Topher. Because seriously does need someone to watch out for him.
Topher gets so caught up in the science that sometimes he forgets the fact that these are people. His genius makes it hard for him to connect to people. But as of late it is hard for anyone to claim that he does not care. I adore his little witty moments and he keeps the air of the Dollhouse light.
Dominic may not be everyone's cup of tea but I love him lots. He is hardcore and badass, he looked out for the Dollhouse mostly even if his methods are less than ethical. People need someone who will stand up get things taken care of. I really felt bad for him being sent into the attic I mean that is beyond cruel and unusual punishment.
Paul is someone I have conflicting feelings about him. Love the actor but the character wants to be the hero but sometimes falls tragically short. Nonetheless he is interesting.
All these different characters make the Dollhouse for me one hell of a show. And yes I know I barely talked about Echo but she is so central to the show you don't need me to say much and she is not my draw to the show.
