My lovely brother Kevin had a cold that lasted just about all of last week. Not so much an actual cold really. More of just a cough that was really a hassle at night because he kept waking up coughing. Lovely brother Kevin's cough is now mine- except it's the whole shabang. coughing, sneezing like a maniac and more tissues than should be allowed. blah. i washed my car today and that was kinda rough cuz there was dust and such and stuff was flying around anyway. ew.
so i went to richmond the other night to play at father mike's last mass. that was sad but i'm really glad i got to be a part of it. afterward, stephanie's car...well her axle i guess broke when she was pulling out of her parking spot...as she was pulled out blocking a whole lane. it was sort of a funny situation. so we had to wait a really long time for a tow truck but it was sort of cool because she called david and the three of us hung out waiting for the truck to come and we haven't all really hung out since like school was in last spring. we probably waited for maybe over an hour and when they were finally there and had her car all ready to go, they told her they needed her to pay them cash so we had to be riding around finding money and such. so we got back to where her car was and she got out to pay and then she turned around while she was waiting and gave me this funny smile. i thought it was just because of the situation. when she got in the car, she was like...so the tow truck guy has a crush on you. i thought that was really funny. but then she was like, and he asked if david was your husband. it was really funny. my dad was like "you should have gone and gotten his number since he's like the only person who's ever thought you looked your actual age."
got up early today and rushed to church so i would be there on time and....realized i forgot my flute when i got there. it was good though because there was this really cute baby a few pews in front of me and to my left, there was this man sitting with his family and talking to the family behind him and he was very calm and smiling and he just seemed to have this really fabulous contentment radiating out of him. i'm not certain that makes any sense but being around him was sort of inspiring. just reminded me of father mike's last homily. i can't remember his exact words but he said something like a person/ Christian following his calling will look like a person in love. something along those lines. you get the idea.
stopped by ballard's today for a sec to drop of somethin. that was cool. haven't seen him in a few weeks.
i must go to sleep. i think tomorrow is the day i will find an apartment!
